Love to see another L8000 kept on the road. Their front ends are some of the best.

Before painting rusty metal, after prep like you did, get some OSPHO from your local hardware store like ACE and put it in a spray pump bottle and spray all the metal down and let it sit overnight. It will turn black and neutralize the rust and be ready for paint, no need for primer. works like a charm. I've done several rusty trailers and it makes the paint last a long time.

Nice to see someone who knows to take onions off of people food before giving it to your dog. Far too many people don’t seem to realize that onions are actually hazardous to dogs and can kill them! (Same with chocolate, grapes/raisins, etc.) Great video on an awesome old truck. The Ford L-Series remain some of my favorite trucks ever produced. My only question is, how do you get parts for them these days?

Very interesting video. It is nice seeing you build up your equipment and business. FYI, welding flash is not entertainment, however it could be a liability. Take care and looking forward to seeing more. We also like the fact that you do not have to have your face stuck in the camera lens as a lot of new sites do.

In our local area (West Central Illinois), the county has a chemical/electronic recycle center where you can browse through pallets of paint for free. I have found new cans of industrial 2-part Epoxy that's great for vehicle frames.

I like that red dumpster. Red is my better half's favourite colour. And those fenders, seems like the ideal application for plastic! You've mentioned tire prices as a sidenote in several of your videos. For a guy who has almost no idea, what would an ideal set of 10 new tires for a rig like that in your area cost? Probably as much or more a you paid for the truck. I know my little dually cost over 1k for middle of the road Coopers.
@Dumpster_Dave Жыл бұрын
$2800 plus tax for just 8 tires. I put decent ones on but yeah the other truck runs everyday, this truck is just a back up.

I think he mentioned swapping the better/newer tires on this truck with some with more miles on them from another rig that get's used daily. Makes sense if this rig isn't going to see daily service in demanding conditions. Put the better tires on the better truck, was the thinking I took away from his comments.
