THE CHANNEL:
This channel is about Kerbal Space Program and can consist of SSTO building tutorials and rocket building tutorials. Some times the videos contain bad language and adult humor but on a low level. In these videos no planet is safe as we can explore space together by landing on places like Duna and Jool and build large Duna colonies or orbital space stations. Also, Interplanetary SSTO builds seem to be a hot topic in the KSP community so I will be touching on those as well. I also build SSRT space craft. These are fun to build and easy to fly! Warships or space warships are one of my favorite things to make. Stock weapons can be very challenging and so when building them over time , you get to see the evolution of the designs. Same thing with the Warships. They get better and better with each new design.
Now , I know it's considered cheating but Kraken drives are a fun way to put things like warp drive ( like in Star Trek ) and or hyper drives ( like in Star Wars ) in your Kerbal space program game. These game mechanic loopholes are fun to figure out as you find out how they work and how to incorporate them into your star ship design.
Everything from Outposts on far away moons and Mining Stations around asteroids and comets, you name it I've ether built it or it's on my to do list! I still haven't really explored things like building SpaceX starship or any of the NASA spacecraft, and I think that's because it been done to many times. Recreations of spacecraft can be found almost everywhere on KZbin now and so making yet another one seem redundant. Only if the spacecraft recreation is of one that I loved as a kid will I even attempt to build it. Like the Apollo Moon Lander, or the whole Apollo rocket! Now that rocket was cool!
Many people have ask me if I'm ever going to wear my Mandalorian helmet ever again for my videos. And , yes. when the time is right, and I get a new wabcam, I will be dawning the helmet once more!

This is probably one of the coolest Duna bases I’ve seen, this is exactly what I set out to do but never can sit long enough to figure out. You may have heard of it, but I recommend the Kerbal Attachment System mod for the refueling at the end, it gives hoses and similar things to be able to loosely connect craft for refueling (plus winches, tow bars, and more like that). Keep up the great work! So glad I found your channel!

With big wings, maybe plus a parachute, those VTOL thrusters make a huge difference on Duna by reducing touchdown speed from "ludicrously reckless" right down to "possibly safe-ish". I learned a lot from my Duna Research Environment Prototype series. I wish I had uploaded some of those at the time!

My headcannon is that kerbans aerospace industry scrambled and built these spaceplanes when the meteor was first spotted. Close to a hundred were built with nearly all setting of toward duna, but a couple were towed to lathe

I FINALLY figured out what this reminds me of! I think you have successfully channeled the design philosophy of Mr. Overfloater with his super large SSTOs! Including the enclosed jets/rockets/nuclear engines in the wings and payload bay centerline of the ship! It's a different path to take - but the end result in performance and logistics is almost the same! Nicely done, Vaos! :D

This just highlights how much it was a mistake to not have construction of parts in the base game. Like, I thought your series on Duna using mods highlighted it enough, but the fact that you have to be sure to bring the parts to connect the SSTO to the base for refueling is the big highlight for me.

I actually like that blue circle, I think of it like some lights that represent the computer that is flying the craft, for example siri from Apple has a purple little thing that moves when it talks, the blue nose cone circle might be just that

10 minute video is appreciated! 👍 How do you get the blue glow inside the shock cone? Is it a glitch or is it intentional? Because if it's intentional, I'm like, "Awesome! I want one!" lol Aww it's a bug. :( Oh well. It's true it's not realistic. I thought the base was going to build itself into something bigger like in the colony video, but this is cool enough. One of those epic tales of triumph over adversity is enough for a good long while. :D

Mr. Vaos, I have a request. Something which i think you might have forgotten. The Hell Rain. The mightiest tank to ever have been built in KSP. I Remember ten year old me watching that video. Now im 17, and i found the video among my first liked videos. Do you still have the file? I know its incompatable with the newer updates. But if you still have the file, please. Mr. Vaos, the Hell Rain is a part of KSP history, it can not be de-commisoned like this. It needs to come back. It must come back.

@@vaos3712 Starting at 1/3 power makes a big difference. You can throttle up gradually a little earlier too. Similar to how heavy airliners usually hold short of the runway to wait for clearance, then start the takeoff roll while still turning to the center line.
