little tip, if you want the soap to not run as much and can be more defined with it; put the soap in the fridge for 30 minutes or freezer for 15 minutes for you use it, obviously the colder it is the more firm it gets and the lines drizzled hold a lot better, longer and more defined.

@@yakkyuu12 usually just like room temp id say maybe, usually just turn the water on in the sink n rinse it off real fast, jus the cold knob, but it's not really cold water ya kno. hope that helps

Hi thanks for the reply! A couple more questions, hope you don't mind; 1) how long do you let the Dawn soap sit until you spray black over it? 2) after you do spray black over it; how long do you let it sit, before you wash the soap off?? 3) REALLY important question; Can you spray a DIFFERENT color than Black over top( obviously not spraying a color you have undersneath--could I use WHITE, Cream, or how about a METALLIC black or Metallic copper?? Is there any color you definitely should NOT spray over your DAWN??

​@@yakkyuu12 3) It really shouldn't make a big difference, but if you're unsure and don't want to mess up your prop, try it on something else first. But don't be too afraid. Usually you can spray over it again and again with sufficiently opaque spray paint. Dare to experiment :)

Instead of creation, we used India in in school. I homeschooled my 3 girls and taught them how to do that as well, and recently did it with my grandson. Loved doing those a a kid!! When my kids did theirs, I took the injured pages, shuffled them, turned them, then handed them back so that they wouldn't know where any particular colors were and the end result would be a surprise.

This is an awesome technique!! Definitely going to use this method on my daughter's mini bikes! One of her mini bikes were stolen last month, luckily I was able to track it down and the police recovered it for us. I had the VIN and they said even with the VIN there's no other identifying marks so I may not get it back 🤦‍♀️ (thought that was one of the purposes of a VIN) Anyway LOVE the technique!! How fun! 🤜🤛 I've done it with generic Elmers glue and wax. Essentially the same technique as East European Easter eggs. I did this painting technique on wooden easter eggs and to re-paint old serving bowls. Fun project. Turned out gorge here (and mine did too). For personalized touch just put an oval or rectangle masking tape shape even ragged edges look cool. Peel off and paint on a monogram or initials before sealing even a light glitter powder blown over. Ta-da.

I love those videos that you show and they are easy to watch and learn so with saying that I have a problem that when I try to mix my paint on top of the lukewarm water it sticks to my stick that I'm stirring it so I'm wondering being since I have the Rust-Oleum two times ultra cover except for they have the paint / primer on them now does that matter or should I have just gloss or in satin or enamel because it's not wanting to stick on my tumblers I've watched many other videos trying to figure out this problem but you seem to be the expert can you help me out

I think you are talking about hydro-dipping a tumbler, right? Yeah so, best thing is room temp like you said, and the best paints to use are GLOSS because they take longer to dry as opposed to semi-gloss, satin, matte, or flat (the flatter the sheen the faster it dries). I use the Rustoleum 2X in this video and it was actually hot as crap that day so that was working against me. Haha! Excellent video and you had me LOL many times throughout. I know this sounds impossible, but you can put Dawn in a regular spray bottle and it will squirt out with precision. Something you might like to try!

Dawn soap never fails!! You Sir are so cool. Entertaining. Funny. Informative,,,,well what the heck, just loved watching you! Would you share how the make the multi turners please? I only have a single purchased one. Too slow for me. My hubby just passed away and always came up with this stuff to make after he looked at it. Me, not so quick. Love to paint, craft, watch videos to keep me busy just now. Will understand if. you don't want to give away your secret. Hope you will though.
