So wonderful to have this. Davy was such a lovely young fellow and just a brilliant player. I'm so happy I got to know him a little back in the early 80s, and to see Peerie Willie as well in the Lounge - what a place! Will always remember them.

Bless you Peerie Willie!. R I P . I have some VHS recordings of Willie and others in the back rooms at Islesborough in the mid 90s. Must dig them out and digitise them soon.

I love it! So spirited .... I could almost taste the beer siting on the table.. It's difficult to comprehend how after so many thousands of views there are only 79 "thumbs ups". Maybe the likers keep coming back, and we can only "like" something once ... Whatever .... great upload ....

Exactly how I remember Willie when I met him at the Mariposa Folk Festival. His spirit still resides in my fretting hand!
