I don't have a real synth setup, this was my best attempt to emulate Eno's beautiful track with tweaked standard keyboard settings. I thought it turned out nicely, so I decided to edit together some of my favorite images from Lynch's gorgeous film.
Apparently David Lynch had fallen in love with Brian Eno's ambient piece "An Ending - Ascent" and asked him (along with Roger Eno and Daniel Lanois) to write something similar for Dune, the result being the "Prophecy Theme". This piece was used in a few scenes, most notably for the Atreides arrival on Arrakis and the sequence where Paul takes the Water of Life.
Interestingly, years later Danny Boyle used the actual "An Ending - Ascent" in 28 Days Later to great effect: • 28 Days Later Horses s...

Even without a proper synths setup, it sounds very believable and faithful to me. I'm not really a fan of this adaptation (much more preferring Villeneuve's epic, especially after having watched on it on the big screen), although Lynch ranks high as one of my favorite directors. However, I can't shake off the feeling that Lynch's "Dune" is the answer to the question what "Return of The Jedi" might have looked like, had he accepted the offer of directing it.

Thanks! I thought the last 2 movies were superior in many respects and I do genuinely love them. Lynch's Dune has always been one of my favorite "what could have been" movies (along with The Keep and Legend) - movies that are exceptional in many ways but didn't quite make it to the finish line. Having read one of the many drafts of Lynch's screenplay, I feel there was a much more satisfying experience that the producers didn't allow him to edit.
