House Ordos was a mercantile Great House whose home was an ice-covered planet, Sigma Draconis 4, in the Sigma Draconis star system. House Ordos was most famous for its smuggling of forbidden Ixian technologies into their home planet, and for the wealth that makes them paranoid, but powerful.
The Ordos perhaps have their ancient Earth origins in China, since their family name is the same as that of the Ordos Desert.
The economy of their planet is based entirely on trade and smuggling. They were insidious and had a tendency towards sabotage, expensive weaponry, and illegal technologies imported from Ix.

Wrong , The Ordos are first mentioned in Dune Encyclopedia which came out in the year of 1984 written by Willis E. McNelly.

DK there were many other houses but Ordos was more of a blank slate which Westworld could fill out and the "stealth faction (aka spy faction)" gives credit to so little canon information on them.

The history of one ordinary tank 32:27 arrival. the sun is shining. great weather 😎 32:30 the first to break into battle with the turret. victory! 35:10 a surprise attack from the north. we beat them off. without damage! 37:10 another surprise attack from the north. we beat them off. a couple of scratches on the paint 37:42 gets the most of all, but withstood 38:16 after the infantry was repulsed, almost alive, they went back into battle 38:53 tank postponed until better times ☺️ 39:50 the best times for the tank have come 40:28 back in the ranks and the first to fight 41:19 second maintenance 42:59 back in the forefront 49:45 earned a lot of spice and lived happily ever after 😊

I loved being Harkonnen I was 11 playing this game I was blown away. One of my favourite Strategy games as well as the Warhammer Dark omen and C&C Red alert.

I really loved this as a kid and growing up on CnC I was primed for Westwood games. But playing it now and seeing it for what it is, it was such a wasted opportunitiy. This was released 5 months after StarCraft 1 and it's really nothing more than a remake of Dune2 with the same mechanics and the same lack of balancing. They had the opportunity to build on top of their games but they practically gave us a re-skin.

That's probably the best Ordos presentation across all of the Dune games. A heavily augmented mentat wired to a machine, shows their titular "maximum efficiency for minimum money without regards to all of that stupid morality stuff" approach. AI is as legal in Dune lore as it is in Warhammer 40k lore, btw. That chick with anger issues they had in Emperor: battle for Dune wasn't even close.

Ordos is one of my favorite houses. Shame it was an invention of westwood, I think Frank Herbert would've loved this house. I also love how in this game they are known for smuggling IX tech but in next game they are more biological tech such Tleilax Ghola. IX and Tleilax never get along.

Try bringing home a program called Epic Dune and unpacking it in the bin folder, which you can find in the DATA folder in Dune 2000 folder and the game will be even more fun to play and the money cheating Mia money maker

I didn't like the Ordos at all, the saboteur was hard to use (very low rate of success), the deviators are good and not (you can get your enemies right into your base), you don't have missile tanks which is the greatest unit from the game. I like their Raiders and that they are deceiving. I wish they were more versatile.

Try Gruntmods edition. It is completely free to play on PC and will work on windows 10. You can play in HD. Expansions are also available. I too had a lot of problem finding a good version for the PC

He lies about the difficulty. He completed the campaign on medium mode. 2:37:30 He built a Rocket Launcher for 750 credits while on hard mode it costs 937.

@@dennymusic Hey man,thanks for pointing that out. I'm really not sure what happend there. When I was doing these missions I had to select the missions from the mission select menu and I totally didnt even realise it was on normal for the last 2 missions. I was using a save game for the rest of it and when you pick from the Mission select menu the difficulty must be automatically set on normal. This has annoyed me quite abit now but its too late to change. :( I noticed the same thing was on teh Atreides Mission which i will take down and redo later on today. Sorry about this. I wasn't lieing about it, I genuinely made a mistake. I will change the title so its not misleading anyone... PS.. Its not much different on Normal :P

thanks for watching. I do use team's but i mostly just use the select all button. you sometimes get alot of casualties as your teams/squads dont last very long, so i just hit select all ;p

This was a horrible reboot. The dune Feeling was lost totaly.alone the siege tank change was a bad choice. Emperor battle for Dune was wayyyyy netter. To bad cant get it workin in win 10

I liked both Emperor and 2000; they have different flavors, Emperor is more dynamic in the diversity of it's factions units, has an awesome soundtrack (2000 also has a good, nostalgic sound), the missions and campaign in general are more compelling
