Funcom was bought out during the first few years of Conan Exiles - then they added a battle pass and ruined the fucking game.

I remember conan exiles launch and the state it was in on launch. I also remember 2 months ago where conan exiles still is. Funcom can't even get their netcode under control for 40+ players and a smaller map, and that is on their main servers. conan exiles is still buggy and has so much jank. I want this to be good, but funcom is famous for some things, and those things are not good things sadly

Never played a funcom game, probably never would. The whole talk of "The world of Movies and Games coming together" scares me, and your comment just makes me feel (even more) like that is what it is to them now. Make it look amazing on the surface (It truly does look amazing, and a lot of the features look great), as long as we made our money back we're moving to the next project. Not even fixing bugs / having network issues that long after a game was released for a company that big? :X Part of me feels like it already has become this, but I hope this isn't just what (PC) gaming / games are now. The player is just a disconnected part of a money siphon now :(

@@XFourty7 I mean, I hope I'm wrong and they make this a giant survival MMO and it blows everything out of the water, but funcom's track record paints a different story. This is coming from someone who loves conan exiles, and played anarchy online. Fingers crossed im wrong i guess lol

Way too much light in this game, they need to cut it by 15/20%, the worlds should be dimmer unless noon time but that only happens once in the day

That's your biggest worry? I'd suggest you should probably be more worried than the game is incomplete and riddled with micro transactions based on funcoms recent history.

@@robinroberts2568 na i'm more worried its ruined by companies like sweet baby inc b/c adding microtransactions and incomplete games is one thing but trying to change storied franchises to fit a cult like narrative of "the message" is a different level and more sinister imho. we can agree to disagree though; no worries amigo
