Hark here. This was a crazy, sweaty game. The huge terrain wall between me and Ecaz made the lategame very interesting, after assassinating Fremen I was way too busy squeezing their land trying to race for choam to do much else. I poked but didn't actually take any fights after the initial 3v1, both because I wanted to distract Ecaz to help Vernius' assassination, and because I was afraid of feeding heg to the champs. Any game where it comes down to the wire like this is a joy, after the "game over" sound effect I really wasn't sure if it was going to be me or Daevohk.

One funny thing btw if Ecaz wants to CHOAM, the resolution that double buying prices? Immunity from that counts as a positive resolution, so you can be immune to that, vote for it, price your opponents out and get 10 influence to boot with Ibbo Vipp

I was watching that northern fuel cell territory and begging for the airship to get made for so long, but what an exciting finish! This game is a real spectator sport, unlike so many of the existing RTS options.

I even wanted to try a governor here but I'm finding it real tough these days. I think games are playing out a bit faster than they used to in this patch and without that extra time to progress in charters and influence gain its very difficult to make it all the way to governor and/or have the influence bank to actually win it

@@Grifthin Relatively small scale stuff in their patch notes from March 20th, I dont think it warrants a full review: - “Museum of unbound art” gives +5 -> +3 max influence, manpower and authority - “Garden Resort” +0.5 -> +0.2 influence prod per masterpiece in neighboring regions - “Artistic Aspirations” development gives 100 -> 80 solari on building a masterpiece - “Political Art” development gives 15 -> 8 influence on building a masterpiece

I do actually believe you now, but that wasn't the case in this game, haha. I played last night and forgot to build a processing plant for like 15 minutes and thought, "and you scream at Daevohk and Turin for leaving a harvester idle for 30 seconds"

No intel from counter-intel anymore! which is a real shame because counter-intel feels more important than ever, and it doesn't pay out a thing in resources.

@daevohk is it better to have more ranged or more melee?

The answer, of course, is...its complicated. Ranged are generally better damage output, but lower survivability--and their damage dips a great deal if they're engaged in melee. So you kinda want as many ranged as you can get away with, which will vary a great deal from faction to faction or even player to player.

@@cagedglobe2139 it depends on faction, but if you're not sure it's usually safe to make 3-4 of each guy available--skipping any weak flankers unless you're intent on microing them
