Thanks Gab. Another insightful commentary on the human condition. I'm 66 and unvaccinated. My 3 sons, all in their 30's are vaccinated and don't get why I have not. I expect I'll contract the illness at some point, feel sick, become well and develop a healthy natural immunity. I took this stance in March of 2020 when they were advising me to get the shot. Even if I do die [highly unlikely] I go to a far better place than this. It is my expectation that God has more for me to do here before I go to join Him. BTW, I loved the Herbert trilogy as well. One of the 3 great trilogies: Foundation, LOtR and Dune.....

A normal vaccine is studied for 3-5 years before it goes to market in order to determine the full spectrum of potential problems and mitigate them. It's one thing to accept those inherent risks in order to defend against a greater risk from disease, but science has confirmed that the rate of severe illness in children is infinitesimal. It's a pretty standard cost/benefit analysis, but apparently that kind of thinking went out of style in 2020.
