The deep dessert surround seems to be the best way get good economy with fremen. So you have to bully a single neighbouring player just to get your own eco in order.

Map gen determines so much, but if you can manage a surround without coming into direct contact with another player's base--I would certainly try, though its likely to make you at least 1 very determined enemy in the process.

Great game man! Super fun! Aggressive Fremen is so enjoyable to watch! I don't get it how you were doing so much authority but that -1 per village wrecked you. Water regulation is really powerful damm!

I think the other players made the mistake attacking you in the center. If they would have attacked you on all 3 sides and made you lose your deep dessert buff -> you would have easily lost.

There are 2 schools of thought here actually on how to bring down a monster! 1. Attacking the most central regions allows other players to come help and combine forces so that the monster cant just overwhelm a single army. Basically no one in the game can win a proper 2v1 army fight, 65cp of anything just does not beat 130cp of anything. Combining your army with other factions is the best way to actually kill/stop someone. Butttt.... 2. Combined forces often means you might not get to carve a piece off the monster's empire for yourself. If you want to hurt the big guy AND take a slice or two for yourself, you're better served by grabbing a border region while they're hopefully busy with someone else. Of course it is a LOT easier for a monster to win 3 consecutive 1v1 fights than it is to win a single 1v2 or 1v3. So you may be rolling the dice that they just don't have enough time to get there and squash you.

Ever try assassination with Fremen? They're pretty damn good at it since you can spawn assassins at sietch rally points in enemy territory

True! I don't do much in the way of assassining in general because I hate the sunk cost of time and money if it doesn't work out. But the sietch assassins are amazing

Hey man! I have a question. How i stop an assassination from Corrino on the hard difficult? After i capture then all the infiItration cells, he continuing putt infiltration cells on me. How can he do that? Can you explain to me?

A corrino should only be able to put 2 cells on you, 3 if they have researched the development for 1 additional cell. So if you're able to search out all 3 cells then the sassynation should stop. Some caveats: Just a village to be searched doesn't guarantee a cell is there so you may need to manually search many more than 3 villages. If other factions are around its possible that in the searching process you might remove someone else's cell (maybe you remove a harkonnen cell on you, not a corrino one) without knowing who it belongs to--thus giving you a bit of a false positive. Yes! Mountains/the desolation/DEAD player bases all count towards surrounding a desert

Seems like you needed the tech to have extra crew in our harvester teams. And some of them had no crew at all. How's the house after the tree incident? haha

I tried to make sure everyone at least had their 1 crew, but the climb up to 3 crew is a lot of tech for marginal return and there were just other priorities. Thank you, the house is... fine. Some expensive repairs and it'll be good as new, could have been worse!

@@daevohk Oh, interesting, I guess I tend to overvalue economic techs? Does going from 1 to 3 crew represent a 200% increase in spice production? That's the intuitive assumption, but maybe it doesnt scale like that. Glad to hear the roof is getting repaired! I'm sure it's a big headache!

@@scottycarlisle2211 each crew is +15% production. So with most of your teams making somewhere between 20-30 spice each new crew is 3-4 extra spice per day or roughly 6-8ish solari per day. Good! but not as game defining as something like extra CP to build out the army, or cheaper authority for more expansion.

I was very confident that a fremen army at that point in time would easily beat any of my neighbors so didn't need the extra juice. Also I was super poor at that point and didn't want to invest in extra building upkeep if I didn't need it.

You could have eliminated Atreides before fighting against everyone at once. 2vs1 is much easier to defend against than 3vs1.

After he lost a couple big fights I think he was struggling to get enough manpower to replace his losses and then was too eager to trickle in small forces to try and help when he really should have just focused on rebuilding up to max CP. Very common issue, make sure you take the time to rebuild your army enough to be a threat and not just a speedbump!
