Please, the writer and director took more artistic license with Frank Herbert's Dune than Mattel did when they created a paint by numbers of Starry Night. Dune 2 has the same level of relation to Frank Herbert's book as a distant 3rd cousin to Queen Elizabeth the 2nd has the current King of England. Sure, they are related, but not so much that you could tell by looking at them.
