However there are a few combinations, perhaps even some 'perfectly balanced' combos that you can take advantage of! In this Dune: Spice Wars gameplay tips and guide video I'm demonstrating a collection of overpowered tips, and some useful smaller nuggets of wisdom to help you win more games of Dune Spice Wars! Rocket battery keeps firing on cease fire units if the battery is in a neighbor territory and has ranged enough. The units just chill under the rocket barrage.

I've used gear sabotage effectively to turn fights from almost certain losses into wins. The intelligence operations are incredibly powerful, as you've admirably demonstrated.

Btw, the reason to fight the Sietch is to pillage the hideouts. Pillaging the sietch nets you far more resources than pillaging villages.

about the start, it may be mentioned, the agents on other houses can be captured if the house has counterintelligence agends active (which tend to happen late/rarely)

It's a bigger setback than you think. There's a small chance agents are captured whether or not the opposing faction has any in counter intelligence. I spend the majority of the first half of the game with no agents in counter intelligence and I still occasionally catch one.

While, of course, it is better to kill the army off, making your opponent leave your territory is very good for buying some time and stopping them at their tracks as well. I think the first tip will be pretty good in multiplayer too.

Start a fight in a sietch in enemy territory, watch the fireworks as they rampage over your enemies.

I'm play as Smuglers and when on hole map apears many freemen shelters I look inside enemy teritory not very defendet villages and make them rebelion then hire in two near shelters six freemens for 200 spice and support rebels to liberate village. That a nice strike on enemy economy deep inside his territory.

Not sure how long it took to fix, but now when you activate ceasefire they stop moving for 2-3 seconds, then simply leave your territory. So it doesn't work anymore. The only thing that I've picked up that's remotely similar is, playing as Atreides, when you're being attacked in mid combat you can force a truce on them. Seems like they finish whatever attacks they have queued and leave, however, the key note here is that they finish the attacks they had queued. This gives the AI the traitor status, and they lose corresponding landsraad standing. I saw this move literally kill off the smugglers, as they have particularly low standing towards the early/mid game, and apparently this dropped them low enough to hit pariah, and were attacked by landsraad to death.

The ai actually knows the ceasefire and poison supply combo. They always use it on me.

You failed to mention the unrest that happens after oppression ;) how do you deal with all the resulting rebellions?

Me personally, I will use them generally around the areas my army(armies) are kind of fight next door to. Also anytime landsaard sends a few troops my way i'll post them in a convenient spot to quell uprisings. Furthermore you can usually get away with having a stealth drone in your main base and oppress any surrounding villages where you can then use the drone to bait the rebels into stepping into rocket range of the main base.

Oh also so far in testing, I dont think it matters if you dont pay the Spice TAX! Ive ignored the TAX and it didnt matter.

I mean. If you plan on making your spice trade worthless and influence gain harder then sure. Not paying your taxes heavily reduces your spice exchange rate and since that's your main source of income I wouldn't recommend it

Haven't tested what happens to fremen, as they have no landsraad standing to manage. That being said, the smugglers have such low landsraad standing early that it's pretty much a death sentence. The other factions can generally manage to not see any problems so long as the embassy district has been built already.

Doesnt opression give villages "Opressed" status, that makes them rebel? That makes opresion not worth it sometimes.

But if you have Feyd you get influence for killing rebels so just oppress villages near your army. Honestly I hope for rebels.

Call me racist against kiwis, but I could swear I hear Hello Future me speaking :D Also, some maps have villages close to each other, even right on the borders, these twins are usually almost insurmountable defensive place as the four missile batteries offer incredible damage potential and like someone already said, neighbouring sectors keep firing even on units in cease fire region.

The AI is stupid, sure. But I think even in a multiplayer context, CF is too powerful. Being able to cast a fairly cheap spell every 2 days lasting 2 days means it's possible to indefinitely protect a single territory from all invaders. It doesn't make sense from a design standpoint, nor from a theming standpoint (how would a single agent manage to infiltrate the Harkonnen military and force them to end all hostilities forever without being ratted out?) I think it's gotta go, but at the very least needs to be significantly increased in both price and how long it takes to build up (e.g. if it took 4 days to make but lasted 2 days).

The thing is though that if they use it you can usually just walk for around 10 seconds and siege a different city relatively easy. Intel is a valuable resource and the operations are wholly busted regardless though. Easy solve is an op to cancel opponent ops in the area, requiring intel levels on their faction to use on enemy territory.
