Serioulsy, what a incredible movie was Dune, I left the theaters with a surreal enjoy for the experience I have. I need to say that Paul and Jessica are my favorite characters, because their performance and relationship are everything for me. Timothee & Rebecca stole the show! Btw, it's a great edit! (Sorry for my English)

I am from the cinema. Great movie. The only thing I don't like - they depicted Dr Kynes as woman. They could have depicted him as a Black man (I imagined him so while reading the book).

The movie downplayed the patriarchal and feudal side of the books. Therefore, whether Kynes is a woman rather than a man doesn't change the character. It was a deliberate choice by the director to have more female characters. The actress is good and the character is endearing while being mysterious. That's all we expect from Kynes. We have 3 versions of this character as a man, it's not a big deal if the 4th version is a woman. Just my opinion x)

I preferred the change, to be honest and found the character has more to do in this film, which is good.

@@titealicia0108 Why the book must be changed according to the "Zeitgeist"? In 50 years we will live in patriarchal societies.
