people have corrected you on the remake comment so i won’t lol but i do have constructive criticism: although the shot from behind your heads is cool, i’m here to see your guys’s reaction. it would be nice if you could keep the camera on your faces the entire time. i get why you’d want such a cool shot in your videos, i was just sharing that’s my opinion. i genuinely mean no offense. :) this looks incredible and i’m beyond stoked! it’s easily the most book accurate adaptation i’ve ever seen and i have all faith in denis!! sidenote: yes it’s aquaman/khal drogo and yes zendaya’s a great actress! she’s an emmy winner too for her hbo show euphoria and it was well earned. great reaction guys!

Just so you know, these first two movies of Dune, is only based off of the first book. What you might not understand, is that Aniken Skywalker is 100% based off of Paul Atradies, which means that in the end Paul is not the good guy.

Foundation was more of an influence on Star Wars, but, George Lucas did lift his ideas from a host of sci-fi novels.

This book, gave us almost all of modern sci-fi and fiction one way or another. It also gave us Real time strategy games (dune2, gave birth to warcraft and star craft!) Probably influenced society and culture more than anyone would guess. What am I missing? haha

The problem with any movie about the Dune franchise is the scale of the events and the politics in it. They are difficult to portray on screen and in the length of a standard movie. I don't think that film will capture the story of Dune , it's going to have to remain a story you read and not watch. I might be wrong . I would be happy if I were . I just don't think I am.

I'm so pumped. Just remember it's not a remake of a movie, it's an adaptation of a book. The translation goes from book to movie, not from book to movie then to ANOTHER movie. The more this distances itself from that piece of David Lynch trash the better. Anyway... sorry for the nerdy reply but that old Dune film just bothers me. It got almost everything just so wrong.

i know Dune is much deeper but for general audiences that description isn't bad. It has the world building and rich cultures and scale of LOTR films (except it has spaceship etc). Dune is more a political thriller and relevant to current events on earth, while Star Wars & LOTR are kind of like modern day fairy tales. But the actual end result on screen won't be all that different to those films. I'm thinking it'll be LOTR for a new generation but with a kind of sinister Blade Runner style grim tone rather than cutesy stuff.

@@BooredAtWork Comic accurate..?? His Batman is the complete opposite of what Batman is in most comics. SPECIALLY if we take the Dark Knight Returns as an example. Affleck´s Batman is an overweight alcoholic, a murderer and a mentally slow brute (who get´s tricked by three fake letters, who apparently follows Lex Luthor´s plan through the entire movie, and who can´t even infiltrate a party without being caught TWICE). This was so obvious, that Snyder even had to have Bruce Wayne saying "Sorry for being such an asshole, and being wrong about absolutely everything" to Superman, in the Snydercut xDxD In the Dark knight Returns comic (supposedly the main "inspiration" for this version of the character) Batman can´t fight anymore, he needs to resource to mental strategies to win fights. He´s not a murderer either (in fact, the final act of the Joker in the Dark Knight Returns is killing himself, to ruin Batman´s reputation). In BvS he is ruining his reputation on his own xDxD In the comics, the fact that he DOESN´T lose his sh*t and that he DOESN´T go into a murdering phase, is the whole reason for Jason Todd to become the Red Hood. Not only that, but Snyder killed Dick Grayson (so no Nightwing and no Red Hood in this universe), he killed Jimmy Olsen... You can like the Snydercr*p if you want to, but you CAN´T claim that it is "comic accurate". Affleck´s version of Batman (or Snyder´s version, I should say) is the less comicbook accurate version of the character´s history in live action. George Clooney and Adam West were more comic accurate than this (and I mean that literally). For some reason, Snyder turned Batman into Thor (some kind of barbarian warrior, with an arrogant attitude and ZERO smarts) , and Superman into the Silver Surfer (a god-like figure who doesn´t really know how to feel about humans). No wonder why every single movie he has made has flopped, and gotten bad reviews (except for 300).
