Without a doubt, Dungen (based on their first eight studio albums from 2001 to 2016, plus what I've seen of videos of their live performances) are one of my top all-time favorite audio artists. They've conjured up a unique magical range of music, mood and aesthetics that I find uplifting and inspiring. Often having a vintage vibe I adore, yet timeless and forward-moving. Their well-considered musicianship is another factor. Every time I listen to the aforementioned studio albums, I shake my head in admiration. Dungen have my utmost respect and love.

What album would you recommend for a first time listener?
@daleyplanet11114 ай бұрын
@@vladtepes3201 While my personal top four favorite Dungen albums (in alphabetical order) are "Allas Sak", "Häxan", "Skit I Allt" and "Ta Det Lugnt", I first heard "Ta Det Lugnt", so I would probably recommend that one first.

I know of many Swedish artists becoming big singing in English. But getting recognised outside of Sweden by singing in Swedish, that is not easy. They definitvely took over from the classic 60's and 70's Swedish psychedelic rock and just went along with it, adding their own flavour to it. If you're a language geek, they do have a rather thick Swedish accent when they speak English. If you'd really like to try a stereotypical Swedish accent while speaking English, this is EXACTLY what it sounds like.

@AARNOLD99998 жыл бұрын
Two of them have super sophisticated tastes, while the other two are bringing more common records. These different approaches to music might explain a bit about why Dungen is so special. Generally though, it's just really fun seeing what inspires the musicians you listen to.
@whatreallymatters5718 жыл бұрын
Sophisticated? Just because of the genre? I don't think so, just different tastes doesn't make one genre better then the other as that's subjective. The other two that you called common could clearly by anyone's standards be called sophisticated. Just more classical and the other ones like more modern music.
@gottslavey8 жыл бұрын
you can't compare a beat maker to a classic composer, so yeah to me one is sophisticated and the other is just what he is... the thing is I think all of them have really amazing tastes, but Holmegard has something a little special
