11:26 Also, he should have decided now if he would use the Stairs (in the top right of the cards) to increase the level of the next Dungeon he will enter from a level 1 dungeon to a level 2!
14:48 Not correct... you can only descend 1 dungeon level at a time, so you can go from 1 to 2 but not from 1 to 3, even if you have the sufficient number of stairs to do so
15:46 That treasure should go to his Pouch, not his Satchel!
18:43 Forgot to give Richard 2 Treasures into is satchel for outlasting Jen in the Dungeon!!

Seriously,this has got to be the most exciting gameplay video I've ever seen.My freaking palms were sweating when you were chancing things.I mean,it was just you playing both characters but you made it sound exciting.You rock rahdo,and I'm definetly looking forward to more of your videos.

Thanks for this! I added it to my collection at GenCon last weekend, and am excited to give it a play tomorrow. Very helpful video in answering some questions and clarifying some things (chest-openers going to a certain spot, pouch vs. satchel, dungeon level progress and character leveling). Game on!

I THINK... this kind of push your luck mechanics would be a great in the end of the game ROLL Player. This would be a nice add-on, like a all-or-nothing, where you could use the hero you created.

At 15:45 you pilfered into your satchel, it should have gone into your pouch instead.

4:40 no one knows treasure until the end of the game? That kinda sucks, dungeon roll was a lot better being able to use the stuff immediately. Just realized at the end the order switches and the bonus is only 2 for who lasts the longest. Not too bad. Ranger ability was cool to see, nice dramatics :) I may try it out if it's cheap enough.

I also have dungeon roll,and it's..ok,so I was thinking also to add some stuff from dr to this game to even make it more awesome,not sure yet what I'll add if anything (dice,tokens,etc).I was also thinking while dungeon of fortune is pretty good,there could definetly be additional rules that could be added to make it even better.I'm gonna work on that

I haven't read the rules, yet, but I find it strange that a hero who's already passed and stashed his/her loot can become the victim of a thieving contestant (Jen draws a pilfer card around 12:50 and steals Richard's coin, although he's already having a pint in the tavern).

17mins.... you pass on 2 treasures to get a chance of being last and getting 2 treasures.... I actually don't understand that logic.

+Spanner1971B if i took the 2 treasures in the hand, then it's likely jen would have also gotten 2 treasures by staying in the dungeon longer, so it's a wash. so instead, i passed on those treasures so that hopefully i could stay in the dungeon the longest, and get 2 treasures that way, keeping them from jen, so i would net 2 :)

I don't know... you play an entire game without knowing how many points you will make? It's just a luckfest... it's a push-your-luck game but it can never be controlled...

+Klaus Nehren i luckfest means your decisions don't matter, but they very much do in this game :)

+rahdo Not realy, because in the end you can choose however you want, but if you gain or steal always the worst treasures possible, you will still lose even if you play the better game...

+Klaus Nehren if that bothers you, simply treat all treasure tiles as 1vp each and don't display publicly how many everyone has in their satchel :) easy peasy!

Many of my gaming friends decry Talisman as a "luckfest" but there are definite strategies, especially depending on the character one is using, the alternate ending (if any), and the number of players. Many games like this depend on strategy to have the BEST chance to win, but part of the thrill is the uncertainty until the very end. When new players are introduced to a game, it's fun (to me) for there to be an element of luck for them to have a shot (even a long one... not a certainty) at a win.
