I've played Dungeon World for a while and now have decided to GM. This podcast is essential for GMs and Players. Everything presented is in a clear, intelligently articulated manner. Bravo.

One of the best videos yet. This stage is when I frequently go blank because of the player input in DW. This has helped. Just feeding the KZbin Alligator 🐊

I have to say DEFY DANGER is my favourite mechanic in any TTRPG ever. Having the "defense mechanic" depend on what the player describes is great. It means that more creative players can find ways to have their PCs face dangers with the most suitable stat, also differentiating the characters in the process in the way they tackle threats. "A cobra bit you and you are getting poisoned" in DnD mechanics take place, anyone would roll a CON save. But in DW it could be: "I try to apply a toruniquette" which could be either INT (a good one) or DEX (a quick one), I just take it (CON), I keep myself calm to slow down my heart rate and therefore the effect of the poison (WIS), I contract my muscle firmly to grip the snake's fang tightly (STR)

Doing my third Dungeon World one-shot after a hiatus from roleplaying and these have been a great refresher to get me in the right headspace.

With the set piece tapestry thing, I would suggest making a mental note to have a puzzle, that the tapestry is a clue. Give them a moment for paying attention, without actually making a big change.
