Learned something the hard (read: funny) way just recently about this sub. Abjure Extraplanar applies to ALL Fey, Fiends and Celestials...the 3 choices for Find Steed. But they have to be able to hear you, so I now have to 'earmuff' my horse or go for a rodeo ride. Anyway, love this class!

Ironically this subclass would work well for a character working in Sigil or somewhere else in the Outer Planes.

My friends and I just started playing Descent into Avernus, and I'm playing this class. My character is a Shadar-Kai whose parents fled the Shadowfell, settling in a small town in the material plane. The town was attacked by a false hydra that consumed most of the town and orphaned my character before the Companions of the Noble Heart (a group of paladins, fighters, and rangers devoted to Ilmater) slayed the beast. With nothing else to lose, the pull of the shadowfell on his very soul, and the fear of the aberration that claimed the lives of his parents and everyone he ever knew, he has pledged himself as a member of the Companions of the Noble Heart. These experiences will also fuel him to take the oath of the watchers and ensure no extraplanar being can once again prey upon the innocent...nor drag him back to the shadowfell. Taking up contracts with the companions over the years has led him to serve at the Shrine of Ilmater in Baldur's Gate, where he has started to hear rumors of Elturel being suddenly obliterated. Bringing back memories of his own childhood, he mourns those who have been lost in the neighboring city and vows to find out who or what is responsible. No others will suffer under his watch.

I actually am making a Half Drow Watcher Paladin as a backup character for Curse of Strahd (long story short, my ranger got into a relationship with Ireena and so MIGHT be getting slaughtered soon, lol). Bringing him in at level 8 (or higher based on when ranger does die) so he has Slasher as a feat, a battleaxe and shield, and maxed STR. His Cha is 19, Con 16, 12 in Dex and Wis, 13 Int. I rolled, REALLY well on my stats for once, lmao! I am really happy with him and kinda want the ranger to go sooner, since I wasn’t expecting to be so excited for a paladin, when I’d originally been planning cleric or druid.

I feel like this subclass is best being reflavored into an arcane knight who is trained in both divine and arcane spells so it makes sense for why you are also anti celestial (using more arcane magics to push celestials and aberrants back while using divine to push back things like demons and devils) using arcane magics also gives a flavor reason to train in arcane which would be needed in investigating multiplanar rifts, summoning circles, and knowledge of the planes.

Great video love watching you guys but I got to say this is a terrible subclass I tried playing it did not work I would love to see you do a oath of Conquest and Vengeance in the same video keep up the good work see you guys next time
