Once they are cut, you could keep them in a 1-gallon zip-top type freezer bag.

I remember getting the Mapfolio 3D years and years ago and being delighted by how much fun it was to cut out/build the little papercraft buildings and such. But, due to them being fragile and storage issues, I've lost most of them over the years to damage and apartment moves. having something like this would be a blessing to my DMing!

I like the laminated pages, but I'm a little concerned that cutting them out means the edges will be vulnerable to moisture damage, marker build-up, fraying, etc. I'd like to see a one-year-later review of a product like this, where someone shows how it stands the test of time.
@millsy7131 Жыл бұрын
In case you're still curious about them I have every set released so far and have used them for about 2 years. They're fantastic and don't ware out. The colors are still vibrant and none of the cut edges are frayed.

Looks good and I like the concept. One flaw that I see is that by have the second level of the boat (for example) on the flip side of the top is that if one party member goes below, then I will need to remove everything from the top so I can flip it over, and repeat as the scene goes from one to the other.

I like the concept however, I've been burnt by kickstarter's before example dungeon dressing dice. I've been waiting for these dice for 2 years, I could have made the dice myself in 2 years. Seems to me if people would just make the stuff and sell it we'd all be better off. Not trying to dog the product but I don't want to wait 9 months to 2 years
@roonbare27695 жыл бұрын
I get you.... But it's clear the product is already completely designed and just needs mass production. It's a book so, it just needs sent out to the printing company.... Not really rocket science.

I was already considering getting the book at my game table with my friends (~72€ split amongst 6 people is not too bad). Question is: will it work with other medieval themed rpgs as well? I assume it does but I might as well ask. We're not playing D&D so we always have to be cautious if we can use the stuff or if it's too specific

Be forewarned, I bought this and it finally arrived. The pieces look and feel great and I don't regret my purchase! But it is not a book. There is no binder. It's just a ton of flat cut-out sheets. This book has many flaws that I can see, including several that apply to products like Dungeon Tiles Reincarnated and that is that you need to buy multiple copies of the book. For example, if you need both the top level of the ship and the bottom level at the same time - say because the party has split up - you need two copies of the book to get both. I think I'd prefer single-sided pieces where the other side is either blank or just a blank grid and not something specific that you might need.
@coreyflynn84455 жыл бұрын
Or just take quick photos or draw an erasable initial where everyone was...you're not wrong, totally agree, but there are some workarounds
@sassysasquatch18864 жыл бұрын
I agree, you aren’t wrong. But two copies of this book at $30 each is still cheaper and easier than a 3D terrain boat.
