UPDATE 22 June 2020. The episode is currently 31 minutes long. The only parts I have to finish are in the segment labeled "Cenotaph aftermath" These scenes, involve the kids falling from a small height, picking themselves up, dusting themselves off, and surveying the damage around them. It sounds easy but is a chore to complete. I really want to be happy with this part because in a way, it is the culmination of the entire series. "The Payoff" as scriptwriters call it. I cant cut corners on this part. (Not that I really have anywhere but....) I didn't want to fall into the trap of just having close ups of the kids as they talk. I needed to have them turn, look at each other in wonder, pause to think, glance about in amazement. I also have added my own content to Michael Reeves script. Things that I knew had to happen to answer plot holes within the series. For instance, without being too specific, in one episode, Dungeon Master tells one of the children something that ends up being completely untrue. Its a question I have seen brought up on some of the forums, and I am going to answer it the only way it could be answered. So yeah, this extra content is taking up some time too. I am learning as I go with this, and the audio is presenting problems I didn't anticipate. When each episode was created, the music director would make the music line up with the action. This is something I noticed right away as I tried to lay the music down and just have it play over the action. Certain beats are throwing off the flow of the action. It is hard to describe, but trust me, if I don't get this right, people would notice. Case in point, the scene where one of the kids is facing off against Venger: I want it to resonate like the scene from Back To The Future. Where Marty is collapsing on stage, and George McFly acts as if he is going to make the wrong decision and not kiss Lorainne. All the action and pandemonium in the background goes quiet while the action focuses on one person making one decision before all is lost. I can't tell you enough, this has to work. I won't settle for anything but perfection on this one. Surely this will be done before the end of the year! Thanks for checking in on it

Thanks for the update. If anything it makes me feel this project is in good hands. When you do release it for all to see it's going to be a very special day. Having to wait and reading these updates makes it even better! If you had released it already and me stumbling upon it would make me miss out on the anticipation. Your work for D & D is absolutely Stunning. This is brilliant. I truly hope that you can finish this one day so that we can all enjoy the end of the this series. I watched this show since I was a little girl and I have every episode. It was and still is an all time favourite. It it a shame that they couldn't be bothered doing the last episode to truly give us a perfect ending. You have given me that hope. Thank you.

You are VERY much appreciated. I wanted to ask you something too. Remember how back in 2011 they remade The Thundercats? I heard something about a remaking of Dungeons and Dragons was supposed to be in the works as well, but haven't heard anything in some time now. Have you heard about this too?

I do remember the 2011 Thundercats series. I was kind of disappointed because I really wanted an updated sequel instead of a full reboot. As far as DnD, I read the article youre speaking of, but I got the impression it was more wishful thinking that anything else. :)

@@jameskirkenterprise3127, Venger's true form, I'm working on this very thing right now. Just like everything else, he will be repurposed from another cartoon. I think I have found a candidate. It had to be someone who was not well known or else it would completely "take you out" of the episode. (Can you imagine Venger turning around and having Fred's face from Scooby Doo? Uggg) I am happy with how he looks, I hope everyone else is too.

Very impressive and I really like how you're using the old original material. It may be born out of necessity but I think doing it this way gives it that authentic feeling which couldn't have been gotten any other way.

Thanks! And those were my thoughts exactly. Theres no way i could have reproduced it myself and made it look like it was still DnD. Ive pulled every trick I can out of my hat to make it look different from the original clips. Flipping things horizontally, running the movements in reverse, on some of the footage Ive used Erics head from one scene, and his body from another. Just anything I can do to change it from its original form. Lots of work, but fun.

Yeah I can imagine it taking a massive amount of work. Take all the time you need. Most of us have been waiting decades to see the final episode so an extra year (or more) won't matter either : ) I can guarantee you it'll be a very special day to me when I do get to see it.

Thats how this project got started. Watching with my kids and they were so disappointed that there was no final episode. Did some research and found the script and the audio play. This has been an enormous undertaking but very enjoyable. I really hope everyone likes it when I have finished. Thanks for the comment!

My name is Ryan. I'm just a fan who never got over the cancellation of this cartoon! Yes. I am still at it. Almost a daily basis. Today I put together a scene with all the kids running to the edge of a room and looking outside. Its only two seconds long but took quite a while to do. The visuals are about 95% completed, but reconstruction of the musical score has been another tricky undertaking. I will upload the entire episode when completed. Cant sell dvds anything like that because I cant make any money off this or Hasbro will throw a fit!

I have no idea how you are assembling the music though...you can't even contact the original composers to beg for a few snippets since they have passed!

I hope this doesn't disappoint you, but very little of this is original animation. I have repurposed images of the kids from various episodes of the series. I have erased the background images from the original frames, synced up the mouths to new dialog, and added backgrounds that have been taken from every single cartoon made in the past 90 years. (I have a tree in the swamp that is from a 1930s disney cartoon. I thought it looked cool so put it in!) I have tried to make the images look as different from their original form as possible, which includes flipping it horizontal, running the action backwards, sometimes swapping heads out. For instance, i have a cut of Eric from Beauty and the Bogbeast, but his head comes from Cave of The Fairie Dragons. Making the music has been insane. Check out the rest of my channel for the two other videos I uploaded. There I tried my best to explain the bonkers steps I have taken to recreate the music! :)

Thanks, but I consider myself more of a Dr. Frankenstein. Piecing together random parts to make it look seemless! 22 minutes finished but more to go. Lots of little things need done that are proving to be very difficult. Still working at it, slowly but surely.

Yep, I plan on finishing it. It clocks in at 30 minutes right now. A few minutes to go, then lots of audio syncing, anding music and sound effects. Right now I only have access to one of my computers, so progress has slowed up, ad it usually does over the summer. Again, thanks for your vote of confidence. The fans of this show are my life blood helping me to get this done!

Yes its still going on, during this corona crisis, I have not gotten as much done as I had hoped, been working on the long list of home repairs my wife has been asking me to do. But I still am moving forward on it. I have to date recreated all of the music that D&D shared with Spiderman and his Amazing Friends. With hopes to use it throughout Requiem. Keep checking back, it will get finished!

Estimates are really hard. When I first uploaded this, I mentioned it would take a year to finish. That was a blunder on my part. I should have known it would take longer. For no one can express or receive love or any other desired emotion in its entirety if the don't know themselves. When one learns the body's capabilities and limitations by fully engaging with all their senses to their extreme limits in the most efficient way that is humanly possible. The subconscious then begins to naturally subconsciously systematically coincide with the mind-body souls spirit mother Earth and all the various different forms of life that live within this world and the most efficient way that is humanly possible. Thus yielding the best spiritual kickback for one's efforts accomplishments experiences. You might want to take these points to heart Considering the simple logic if life is not free, why the hell would death be any cheaper? It's not the question the common, basic, average, normal man or woman may be able to wonder is what is the spiritual cost to one's own soul and spirit for freely living dying off having only used the smallest percentage of a fraction of the true potential they are first born with. Not to add insult to injury for the last hundred and 50 years or so the mass majority of the population has been living and dying yielding the worst spiritual kickback that has ever been manifested since the beginning of life only getting worse. And that has nothing to do with everybodys so-called charming personality and everything to do with the standards of quality pertaining to our air, water, foods, landscapes, working/living environment, every day home products, habitats, and ecosystems. Which is ignorant beyond retarded (no offense to any disabled people.) When you consider for the last 490 years Give or take we have had the manpower woman influence or vice versa to have created clean high paying jobs from coast-to-coast globally that would improve upon and maintain the quality of our life in such a manner. That the mass majority of the population from coast-to-coast globally would naturally, gradually, and systematically start becoming stronger, smarter, healthier, happier, better off physically, mentally, and financially possibly spiritually then the previous generation. Now I would like to resurrect the wish and prayer I made prior to my 8th birthday which was to be held spiritually accountable to the statements I proclaim to the way I'm living personally and professionally. I guarantee you never see or hear another body, man or woman in power, persons of legal, religious authority, or leaders ever freely validate the statements they proclaim with that level of certainty one reason they don't have the best interest of the majority of the population's needs at heart a another reason could be they cum from a bloodline of cowards or simply have a lifestyle that suggests, confirms, and validates them as being feebleminded physically inadequate submissive subservient which it doesn't get any worse than that. One is genetically inherited and the other is a simple generic learned behavior. Quite possible to be a combination of these worst-case scenarios nonetheless either way it is physically, mentally, and spiritually useless to freely live and die in such a low quality manner. Especially if that ignorant stupidity, weak, lonely desperation stems from being soft, lazy, out of shape, over fed, undernourished, overworked, and underpaid with a dirty low-paying job that comes from outdated power sources, inferior materials, poisonous, toxic substances, pesticides, and chemicals that never change their killing composition. Which means simpletons whether it is a solid, liquid, or burnt off into our airways atmosphere as a vapor it is always going to be poisonous, debilitating, and deadly to the body at the same time polluting, corrupting, and devastating to mother Earth and all the various different forms of life that live within this world. There is no cash profit to be made in the demise of the planet. Thanks to those dirty low-paying jobs we are in the mist of environmental financial global collapse. The good news souls and spirits have paid out are picking up the tab on the end results of those dirty low-paying jobs. The even better news that the common, basic, average, normal man woman may be able to comprehend his souls and spirits have been are being managed, directed, maintained, and implemented with all the disease, sickness, illness, pain, suffering, injury, abuse, neglect, hunger, addiction, sadness, anger, and hyper- aggressive violence. That has been allowed to occur manifesting throughout the history of mankind into what it is today thanks to people like Donald Trump who have the false belief if the mass majority of the population is at their worst they will feel less afraid inferior to the true potentials of love, honor, and the creation of life. Here's the deal you're either part of the world solutions or exacerbating the planets problems there is no safe in between.
