Awesome and harrowing episode! No doubt the screenwriters made references to Ancient and Medieval History with Zinn and Sir Lawrence. Royalty in those times married of all ages as crazy as it sounds!

I like how the water dragon snaps Diana's staff with its mouth. Then a few seconds later, the staff magically reappears in her hands. It's also interesting how Diana's staff changes length from 4 feet to 10 feet, depending on the situation.

One of the things which made this cartoon show so brilliant was scary stuff like Stalker. I think I probably found that character a bit creepy and was more scared of having nightmares about it than actually being scared of the character. But it's this kind of respect for the audience that kids aren't getting anymore. I've turned this in to another rant haven't I . Such is life when you're a grumpy old git like me! Take me back to the 80's when the world made sense.

I think I remember finding the Phantom Stalkers quite scary , in a scared of being scared kind of thing type way . But that was the great thing about this show ; it didn't shy away from scaring its child audience . I think it did so on a fairly regular basis. And that's if you didn't find Venger , Shadow Daemon or Tiamat scary . The guest villains were often quite scary in for that one episode. I was so lucky to grow up in the 80s.

80's stuffiness. Gygax wanted a cleric, which of course would never fly on Saturday morning. So Diana became an acrobat. The character class wasnt in hardcover until Unearthed Arcana in 1985, but was probably in Dragon Magazine before that.

I'm normally a big Sheila fan but I think this episode really brought out the best in Diana. She really shines in this one in the absence of Sheila. Actually that's kind of selling Diana a bit short. She's actually the source of much of the comic relief and keeps Eric in his place a lot of the time. And I don't mean she's there just as a figure of fun. In fact she serves a very important role in the group and

DM’s fault for conjuring up a Dragon Turtle tricking the kids into another quest to help others. Bobby gets infected from that DT’s bite, DM’s forlorn look at them before moving behind a tree to disappear again. Glad the kids endure difficult times and this in Middle Earth. Plus, learning a lot from obstacles they faced; Phantom Stalkers, giant earth worms, etc. The Yellow Dragon’s Foot is a rarity from a D&D book. Glad the first live-action film sequel used the dialogue, literature, dragons, creatures, etc from the D&D manuals.

The writers have made her the weakest with powers, but the strongest heart and soul. Additionally, the writers don't allow her to be much good either. She is the ultimate scout and infiltrator

Been so long since I've seen this episode, i forgot the story. So I was wondering who Zinn's chosen king was going to be... likely Hank or Presto, or even Bobby -- but the episode would need another 30min to follow that plot twist, maybe the Smoke Stalkers tell Zinn her king is at Sir Lars house so she goes there with the cure for Bobby and tries to kidnap him -- BUT of course she chose Eric: in my realm he's the type of prick that hot ladies seem to like
