I just bought the game as I thought it would be fun. Tried the same adventure as you about 7 times ( 1st solo adventure from the book) with different characters and loose each time. I spend a lot of time reading the instructions, the game difficulty is just ridiculous. I could use 20 healing surges that the result would be the same.

The game can be difficult as it is luck driven, Maybe make some house rules to make it easier?

Thanks for the playthrough, it explained the game very well and I can see it's not a game I'd personally enjoy. It seems a bit too punishing for my taste, the boss fight seems kind of a slug fest and I don't like how exploration works very much. I also feel like levelling up should not require the luck of rolling a 20, and rolling a 20 should always do extra damage, not only when you're specifically a level 2 dwarf fighter.
