I used to rent Dorf on golf and Dorf first games at Mt Olympus when I was 5-6 years old. It was my goto. Then mom and dad showed me old Carol Burnett shows and I said Hey!!! That’s him! Private eyes with Tim Conway and Don Knotts is still always on one of the TVs in my parents house

I just loved Johnny. He was such a father figure to me as a kid with only 1 parent. No father. He just seems so warm. I know they say he was cold off set but i was watching him on a tv.

I grew up watching Tim Conway on Carol Burnett, I loved when he was on Married With Children as Peg's father, he was hilarious no matter what he was in.

Pretty good move by Tim and the stage crew. I'm trying to figure out how they filled the holes in the floor where Tim's legs were after he got on top of the crate and moved it to the basket. I don't see Tim doing anything to close them up, so my best guess is a stage hand was under the floor and swapped out tiles quickly after he pulled his legs out.

@@inspectorgadget346 There's no green/blue screen here. This is all physical and in-camera, done live in front of the audience. It's done with a raised set so that Conway is standing in a hole (well, two holes, one for each leg, you can briefly see them at times if you look carefully) with, as you say, the shoes attached to his knees. Then, once the box is in front of him to obscure the bottom of his legs, he just climbs out of the holes and the floor tile that contains the two cutouts is replaced by a solid tile before he moves again. You get a brief glimpse of his legs extending below the shoes when he first reaches up to put the ball in the basket.

I absolutely love this one. I thought I’d seen every Dorf video they had to offer. Not this one. So glad I saw it today. To this day when I see Tim Conway and Harvey Kormon video get started I’m laughing before the CD even gets started. I agree with another commenter too in that he/they did without profanity. Just raw talent which is rare these days. My absolute favorite of the two is when Harvey Horman is the patient and the dentist is Tim Conway. Somehow Tim Conway manages to inject his dominant hand with Novacaine not once but several nines. If all that wasn’t funny enough Harvey Korman isn’t just giggling he is just flat out losing it. Shoes attached to his knees. The set is raised off the floor to Conway's knee height so that he can start off standing in two leg-holes and then, once he's moved that box into position, he just climbs out and stands on the floor of the set and the tile that contains the two leg-holes is replaced by a solid one. You can see his legs (dressed in black) extending below the shoes as he stretches up to put the ball in the basket.
