Thank you DOC650, I'm considering these for my ride east on the Vstrom, I hear they wear great, work on a variety of surfaces and stopping for a tire change doesn't sound like a good way to enjoy a Vaca. I watched a KLR guy say that the sidewalls were very stiff, and he hoped he would never have to change a flat along the side of the road with them. Great camera, drone and editing all top notch. My pleasure VW! Based on what I think you will be encountering on your trip, these tires would be a good fit. They did really well on my 600 mile Outer Banks trip and one thing I did not mention is they do not get squirmy on rain grooves or metal bridge crossings. Great tire overall. The sidewalls are stiff but the carcass is pretty tough also. Glad you liked the camera work. I had a heck of a time getting the drone to link up with my phone and the controller. AGC!! They do well on the DR650 and I have heard they are great on a GSA. I might be putting these tires on my 1050XT once I have worn down the stock tires. I imagine the TMMs would do well where you are at in Nevada. Cheers!

I have the TMMs on a 2019 VStrom 1000XT Adventure. I’m on my second set of them. I got 14,500 miles out of the first set and have about 6,000 miles on the current set. The front tire is phenomenal on pavement wet or dry and on dry unpaved roads. The rear tire has been very good as well, although some people say that it will occasionally slip on wet surfaces - it has been great for me. Several of my riding partners have these tires on a 1250 GS and 1250 GSA. They have had similar performance. Mud and deep sand should be avoided. If you want to do either of those on a big Adv bike consider the Motoz Tractionator RallZ tires.

Great video DOC! Super production and gives the information I have been looking for regarding the Trailmax Mission tires. Highway, gravel and sand but no mud where I normally ride.

Thanks Rob! Sounds like they will suit your needs for where you ride. I was hoping for more deep sand to test these in but the conditions had changed over time. Funny thing is, after I first had the tires mounted, I went out in my woods and got stuck in the mud (my fault) LOL! Thanks for the kind words! Cheers!

Good looking tires. Plenty of choices for the adventure style of bike. And I’m sure your review will help narrow it down for some of the people searching. With so many choices it is a big help to get someone’s opinion instead of just advertising and sales pitch. I put Motoz tires on my DR. Like VW has in his comments,I hope never to have a flat! Sidewalls from hell! The high mileage people said they got was one of the biggest reasons for me. I’m thinking mostly highway and some unpaved roads. To old and worn out for the rough stuff anymore. They are really good tires. Their road manners are excellent, and they also perform well off road in most terrain. I hope this review does help someone who has requirements that these tires will address. Good point about the "reviews" of folks that are shills for sponsors or receive something for the promotion of a product. Motoz tires are top notch, and they should last you quite a long time. I don't want a flat on any tire LOL! I had that happen last year while running Dunlap D606s (rear) on the highway at about 60mph. No fun at all. Stiff sidewalls are great until you need to change them LOL! Glad you enjoyed the review! Also glad you found the kickstand pad useful also! Ride Safe Back! Cheers!

There are some pros of the ADV bikes that are really useful and one is that you can have different tires on them. In your case 50/50 depending on where you ride. Never had them (this model), but I believe you that they are a great value for money. Very nicely edited video bro and the background music is spot on. Keep it up William.

Thanks Jey! Glad you found the info in this video useful! As far as creating a bike for camping, it all depends on what type of terrain you will be riding on and the expectations of the distance you will travel. If you are going to be doing primarily road travel, a larger bike more oriented to road travel would be suitable. More off road, a Dual Sport lighter bike would be the best option. Either way, all you need to do is get some panniers (bags) for your bike and pack small and light. I like to think of moto camping as backpacking on two wheels. Cheers!

They are really great tires and last a long time. For mostly road, they do really well and good off road also. I just had a friend stop by who put them on his Tenere T700 and after riding across the US (5000 miles), they hardly wore at all.

After two pinch flats in two months, I am looking to try this heavy sidewall tire on my DR650. Did you go with the 120mm or the 130mm width? I am running a Shinko 244 in the 5.10 width currently.

Hello! I went with the 130 in the rear. It does well on and off road. The side walls are tough and a pinch flat should not be an issue. An example of this is K had them sitting around for awhile (mounted) and put them back on my DR and they looked fine. In always check tire pressures before a ride and they were at really low pressure even though they supported the weight of the bike fine. Also, a friend has them on his Tenere and he rode across the US twice and still had plenty of tread left. They can get sketchy in wet situations though due to the tire compound. Hope this helps! Hi Doc, hey I have a question? I just purchased a new DR 650 and want to switch out the tires right away. I’m going with the Motoz Dual Venture for the front, and would like to go with the Motoz tractionator adventure for the rear. As you know, the stock rear is a 120/90-17 but they don’t offer it in that size. Do most people run a 130/80-17 instead? Thank you for your videos. You have a lot of good information

Hi David! 130/80-17 will fit fine. 130 is the widest tire you can use due to the width of the swing arm. Great choice of tires also!

@@PurpleOnThree Well is kinda subjective. Dunlap D606s, Tusk DSports and Kenda Trackmasters do much better in clay and mud but they are not off road only tires. The Kenda Trackmasters are probably the closest to a true dirt tire that performs well.
