Primitive Skills

Жыл бұрын

Hello everyone, my name is Duong.
I am 32 years old.
I live in a poor mountainous area of Vietnam.
From a young age, I had to work hard to help my parents.
Difficult life is always around, I work and learn everything from my grandparents and the old people in the village.
Gradually, I mastered the skills.
5 years ago, I decided to live the challenge.
Determined to learn about the primitive way of life, I chose to live in the wilderness, alone.
Where there's no technology and forcing yourself to pass, it feels great!
How about you? Your life is definitely different from mine.
Have fun watching the video!

Get some ducks or geese, they will help to get rid of the reptiles, bugs, and other pests, plus your pond will be a great swimming place for them

Duong, what I like most about your knitting (weaving) is that you make art, even though you don't have to. You could just make plain, utility brown or green baskets but instead you bother to make patterns...lovely, lovely patterns. Your skillset is broad and amazing. The chickens are looking awesome. Such beautiful Roosters. I wonder how you will pick the best one for breeding. Thanks again for sharing.

You an an amazing weaver of baskets 😊 I noticed the care you took to prop up that huge stalk of bananas. I did not realize that was necessary. Very nice! Very wonderful addition to your chicken factory. You were able to reuse most of the material from the old shelter. It is much more useful because you will raise many more chickens. I like that you are putting organic waste around your trees to build compost. May I suggest that if you start a compost pile on the ground close to your chicken factory, the chickens will help you make compost more quickly. Chickens love to scratch in the organic waste (wood chips, banana skins, egg shells and palm scraps for bugs. and worms. It seems they find scratching to be very entertaining 😃 As they scratch, they are mixing the organic waste constantly which causes it to break down much more quickly. Then you can use the composted material to build soil in your vegetable factory!

There are some who were asking why he fish in the lake eventhough he has a pond of fish. The way I see it, I think he's trying to demonstrate his skills or that of his ancestor's way of fishing. Great skill, loved it.

you rich kids have no sense. The raised fish are for sale, we eat some sometimes. When you grow veggies or fruit, for example, the one that half eaten by caterpillar are not sold , its not worth the buyer's money. Same concept with the fish, the fat ones are for sale, so it worth your money.

You know… you could do a series of videos on weaving bamboo into all kinds of wonderful baskets, containers, furniture, etc.

I think I really like the short-clip "preview" you do of the whole video's activities. You don't give everything away, but you do let people know a general idea of what's coming up. For folks who may not have a lot of time to spare for watching, they can use this to decide how much of a particular video to watch. This one, I think might be a big hit with basket weavers and fishing enthusiasts, but some might want to only watch their own interest, so they at least have an idea of what parts to avoid. It's great! It is very clear you put a lot of thought into staging & editing your videos, Duong, and we do appreciate it!
@ladyofthemasque
@ladyofthemasque Жыл бұрын
@@kongesnok That's a valid view of it, too. For me, sometimes I just don't get why he's doing what he's showing until I have read the closed captions, so it still has a bit of mystery for that time, and the rest of it is the stuff not yet seen in the preview. But yes, it can annoy some folks, and it's perfectly fine to skip ahead.
