Now we are getting to the new videos we've recorded after turning the lights back on. This was just recorded a couple of weeks ago. 2:30 After a full 6 seasons of developing this character into Jimmy McGill, I imagine it was fun for Bob Odenkirk to go full Saul again for a bit. 3:21 Seeing how Kim chose to live her life after Jimmy was certainly interesting. And Lacey got it just right: she will not rock the boat in any way. She's just a void of her former self. 4:16 YEP YEP 7:07 I think they forgot that Jimmy used Viktor St. Clair as his name when he would do cons with Kim/Giselle. 9:42 And we see that the city of Albuquerque has replaced Mike with a machine. :( 10:38 Lacey, you should have added a little light bulb over your head just before saying that :) 12:06 It is a shame that Rhea Seehorn did not win the Emmy for this role. The way she bottled up everything Kim has ever experienced it and just let it all out was a master class in acting. 15:36 Whoopsie! 17:32 I love how they used these cameos in these last few episodes. They didn't feel forced and each added to Jimmy/Kim's overall story. And it's always great seeing Aaron Paul. Kim's answer of "when I knew him, he was" was just sublime. 22:21 Like we saw in the very first Better Call Saul episode, the reflection of his commercials in his glasses are in color. I love that subtle touch the showrunners chose for that. 22:36 These two predicted a couple of episodes ago that Marion could by Gene's downfall, and they were right. The only thing they didn't get right was knowing that she'd ask Jeeves about con men in Albuquerque. 22:54 There's two things I wonder here: would Jimmy have gone through with choking out Marion had she not used her life alert, and would Marion have even thought to ask Jeeves if he didn't slip up and mention how Omaha isn't like Albuquerque at all. I loved the pacing of this episode. Yes it was slow in the beginning, but that was a conscious choice to show Kim's new life. And I think they showed us just enough of it before moving on and advancing the storyline to its final episode.

Regarding Jesse, it also shows a bit of a butterfly effect: Altruistic Kim saved Combo from serving time, which led to the RV being stolen and ultimately his demise (and many other things); Damaged Kim gave up and didn't advise Jesse to stay away from such a dangerous man ('Saul', as opposed to 'Jimmy' or 'Viktor'), which led him and Walt to hire him later on. Had Kim let Combo serve time instead of aiding him for free, or had she told Jesse to change his ways or stay away, everything would've been different.

Remember in Breaking Bad when Jesse was first trying to convince Walt to hire Saul when Badger got arrested for selling meth? Jesse gave him the spiel about not wanting a criminal lawyer, but that Walt needed a CRIMINAL lawyer. Jesse explained that Emilio (who was one of the guys that died from inhaling the improvised phosphate gas in the RV) was caught dead to rights and Saul had still gotten him off the hook. And as a southerner, it’s Dukes mayo or nothing.

They didn't recognize Howard's wife til way later, they didn't recognize Emilio going into the office as the next client, they didn't recognize the color in the black and white glasses as Jimmy started to watch his Saul video, they didn't recognize the Ignacio speech from Breaking Bad, they didn't recognize that was the dialog from the phone booth scene that we didn't hear in the previous episode, lots of reactions I look for. It was frustrating, It must've been a long time since they watched Episodes. If she had a problem with Aaron Paul's aging, I'm sure she freaked out over how Todd gained 100 lbs and then lost them again the week before his death. The first half of the episode got Rhea Seehorn another Emmy nomination, and she should've won it for her. Her crying on the Airport vehicle was heartbreaking and first-rate acting.. The woman who touched her when she was crying was Vince Gilligan's wife.

Rhea's performance was amazing!!! And yes it had been some time in between episodes, and especially since watching Breaking Bad.. so we missed a lot during this episode... but I caught a lot more during the edit!

We do watch the episodes multiple times and some things slip through the cracks during the reaction obviously but become clear on the second watch through. But yes your correct on some points but do understand this was a show that we had to suspend to take care of some issues in the family with health. But we did get the low down and rewatch in! See you next episode! ❤Steve

Kim's new boyfriend is a clone of her ex-client, Kevin Wachtell from Mesa Verde. How self-destructive is that?
@lmj2k9 ай бұрын
Unintentional foreshadowing. Remember when Jimmy and Kim were role playing a conversation Kim had with Kevin? Jimmy was playing Kim and Kim was playing Kevin. Then there was the end of that. Jimmy (as Kim): Kevin? Kim (as Kevin): Yes, Kim? Jimmy (as Kim): Would you like to take a shower with me? Kim (as Kevin): Well, shoot…..yes, I would.
@sallyatticum9 ай бұрын
@@lmj2k I wouldn't put it past them to be intentional. The "Yep" was very prominent in that sham video Saul created slandering Mesa Verde and his dad. There is so much mirroring and paralleling in this BrBa universe!

More foreshadowing that might not have been mentioned - remember in season 5 when Jimmy threatened Kevin Wachtell with a lawsuit against Mesa Verde? The tape he used repeatedly mocked the way Kevin's dad said 'Yup!'. This was clearly foreshadowing to Kim eventually getting yupped in season 6. Amazing detail! Bravo Vince.

Okay now for a legit comment - Saul and Kim talked on the phone, and the conversation completely went down in flames. This is similar to Walt and Skyler's phone call in 5x14 Ozymandias.

The one thing that bothered me was the age of the characters, I don't know why they didn't use de aging software... kzbin.info/www/bejne/bn3Top2Hfdlsm9k
@CraigKostelecky9 ай бұрын
To me, it wouldn't have been worth the time and expense. Sure tools like this can be free to use, but not for commercial application. It would cost money for them to do that (and possibly delay the episodes from coming out on schedule). And while their age can take you out of it, there are also a few frames in the after that don't look quite right and also take you out of the scene briefly. For me, it's easier to just suspend my disbelief and realize that there are limitations to making TV shows like this. Also, the reason your post wasn't visible right off was because of the link. I had to manually approve this.
@oldskoolmacboy9 ай бұрын
@@CraigKostelecky It's not that expensive to de-age its a relatively cheap process. Regarding the transfer frames, the de-ageing process was made primarily using a phone. It did distract me, especially the Todd scenes in El Camino.
