I have a complete duplex kidney. It was found when I. Had superficial bladder cancer. My second ureter does go into my blaster., I do get chronic Uris though. My kidney also looks deformed but it still works. The way the doctor explained it that it looks like I have a partial kidney behind the normal one.

I have 2 complete duplex kidneys. I had kidney stones a few years ago and my dr said the duplex kidney is what saved my kidneys. Although ill say having 4 stints, 1 in each ureter, at once, was NO FUN.

Dx finally at 48, bilateral complete. Gaslit my whole life, misdiagnosed and given many unnecessary procedures and medications and labelled as lieing, whining woman. Lifetime of mental and physical pain, damage is done.

I have double collecting system. I was diagnosed when i was 15yrs old. I am 24 now. For 7yrs we tried our very best to look for a Doctor who can do the surgery. For the 1st and 2nd year of my medication, They said that only the top part of the kidney will remove until its never happened. I still have it on my body, the last time i got confine 2022 the doctor said that the infection got worst so they have to take the whole left kidney. It's not really easy. It's like surviving than living. The pain is high but because of the time, you just get used to it. I hope hoping than next month will be the best month of my life. I just want to finish everything and live normal

Dr thank you for this most informative video. I have duplicated collected system with severe hydronephrosis. The top portion of the right kidney is damaged and not functioning. The dr doesn’t want to do anything but I, afraid of losing more function. My egfr is 62.

I have a right side kidney is duplex....in one ureter a 21mm stone is stuck...dr. tried to remove it but its fail....and the dr. Said that one ureter is fail...and the other one is fine... So what can we do now? By surgical operation we remove that one failure ureter or let it be..????please reply

I know u r desperate for answers, but i am really sorry. i cant say anything with such little details. but you shud trust your doctor, and talk to him/ her about the advantages and disadvantages of both the procedures.

Double ureter means 2 ureter, and double kidney means 2 kidney. I am not sure what you mean!
