Awwww man, I've never been so happy with someone saying they were done with me. Seriously, I'm just here to share the love and knowledge. I'm certainly still learning and not always right! For example, only recently did I realize I was missing key parts in Last Chance on the Stairway. So, look out for my re-do of that one! Fortunately, I think SOYS is okay! Besides being blessed with the talent my pops passed on to me, I've also been lucky that I have a knack for ye ol' computers! This is how I make a living and am fortunate enough to acquire these musical companions. I don't own them, I'm just in charge of them for a while. ☺

Thanks for that. Interestingly you have probably explained why this is far from one of my favourite Duran songs. I have always been drawn to them due to their bass lines and I never really liked this song that much- and now I know the reasons for that.

@@arena808 I do think, however, that the lyrics are great. It's a return to Simon's more esoteric work. I love the visions of ghosts and helicopters... and the groove, it's creating this feeling of a monster marching towards you.

Hi Zumaz, it’s a bit of a weird song for me but your explanation gives some more insight in the groove and Incan appreciate it more. I prefer the more “danceable” songs ons the album but it’s great Halloween atmosphere. @@ryanlane7153 Before I answer, let me acknowledge I can be too technical about these things. I love the way Danse Macabre SOUNDS. Music aside, it is pleasing to the ear. It was much later that I learned that the great Bob Clearmountain mixed it! So, I REALLY wish she had mixed Future Past. That album is great, however, I do not find it pleasing on a sonic level. Future Past is loud and harsh, like a lot of music these days.

As for the musical content of Danse Macabre, I do enjoy it. I like this new tune the best, and the rest are just fun I suppose.
