@@internetnow5243His tone’s mid because of the Dingwall but he’s still very good. He just doesn’t slap anymore and had become self conscious of his more busy bass lines due to critics.

I was a diehard Duranie in the '80s, and New Religion has always been one of my favorites. Simon still has a great voice even today. They sound awesome live - as good or better than in the studio. This is talent, folks. Not autotune.

Saw these I 1984 and again in 2019. Both great gigs. One of my favourite 80s bands ❤️

Andy is amazing in this one. His backing vocals and that brilliantly heavy guitar during the chorus gets me every time. If only we had a time machine...
@harryportfelikartakredytow890710 ай бұрын
1. Simon's energy is just incredible 2. PLAY THE FUCKING BASS JOHN 3. I just realized what a genius Nick was to use a church organ effect on keyboards in the beginning of this song, you have that classic sound associated with traditional religion and then you're hit with Andy's bold riff on an electric guitar, THAT'S the new religion!
@greengrass1072 Жыл бұрын
Wow, just awesome. Always loved New Religion and also The Chauffer live. Andy was the MVP in the band back then. He’s what helped separate Duran from their contemporaries back then.

Duran Duran in their youthful energetic brilliance. Andy and John are owning this shit big time.

Yeah, I like seeing Andy and John singing, pretty good they're their own backup singers, not all groups can do that or sound so good live.

John Taylor isn't just a pretty face. What a bassline. Duran Duran were my everything at some points in the first half of the 80's. Always loved this song. I've rediscovered all the classics recently, and my Dad said they wouldn't last.

My God!!! They were so freakin good!!! So exciting being a Duranie back then. Although I didn’t discover them until about 4 months after they recorded this. They dropped a music bomb on America and we just didn’t know what hit us!! Ive never gotten over them since!! Sorry but Spandau were left in the dust!!!!

Because Andy always takes over and is full of himself. To the point where John has to show him who started the band. John was always in Andy's shadow because the cameras were always on Andy and media were always nice to Andy but John was always judged harshly...
