Great reaction as aleays. I noticed the video surprised you quite a few times. Back in the 1980's, the music videos usually told a story that corresponded with the song. It was a great time for music and artists to show creativity.

Yes, the song originally was written for a movie, but the movie never got made. This is one of the most expensive videos ever made. Yes, you really need to watch their official videos. They paved the way back in the 80's when MTV started

Yup, the movie was to be an adaptation of 'The Wild Boys: A book of the Dead', written by William S Burroughs in 1971.

The song was produced by Nile Rodgers, who had worked on the remix of the group’s previous single, The Reflex. The idea for the song came from director Russell Mulcahy, who wanted to make a feature film based on William S. Burroughs' novel Wild Boys (The Wild Boys: A Book of the Dead). He proposed to the band to compose a rock score for the film, similar to how he would ask Queen for Highlander - The Last Immortal in 1986. [6]
