Durham Skatepark - Durham, North Carolina | Skatepark Tour

The Durham skatepark is located in the city's downtown. The park has some positive features such as the smoothness of the ground and the construction of the bowl. However, poor design and maintenance by the city has led to this park being a less desirable place to go for a skate session.

Durham was built in 2009. The upper section of the park shown in the beginning of the video was not built by Artisan but by the company that poured the concrete for the new condo, hence the reason it makes no skate sense. There used to be brick coping on the quarter pipe.

This is my local park and it’s not bad. Me and homies love it. The satellite/clam is one of the most fun obstacles there. Come skate with us some time and we will show you the way of the Durham park.

such a crappy park. terrible incredibly awkward transition. uneven terrain everywhere. 90% of the stuff there requires pro level skill to skate at all. Durham please tear this crap down and build something stateable
