This upgrade guide is perfect for me. Strong, fun, strange, and budget upgrades! I’m a long time player who seems to often use the same high power cards and make decks that are too strong which make my opponent sad. I want to run a deck that is strong and the same power as my friends, not overly powerful.

@@Funkytowwn101 amzu was definitely hard to come by, got lucky that someone at my LGS traded one in. underrealm lich is another niche card but should be in more stock. I already had one but i can see why that would also be a tough one to get

You can explode Scute Swarm with Aftermath Analyst, which also works incredible in this deck. If you have Syr Konrad in play and you managed to get a bazillion Scutes they can't boardwipe you. I run Valgavoth, Terror Eater in this deck because i pulled him in my first Duskmourn booster pack. It doesn't mess with your graveyard and if you manage to cheat it in turn 3-4 you'll put a lot of pressure in the board. It is really easy to tutor him (Defense of the Heart) and/or put it on your graveyard to reanimate with various effects. Altanak, the Thrice Called (Bettlejuice). You can discard him for ramp with his ability and then reanimate him. If someone decides to target him he gives you value.

Polluted Cistern only cares of diffrent card types not creatures. So it will only drain 1 life with Old Stickfingers.

that’s not true, Kindred Creature Artifact creature Land creature Enchantment creature. 10 to all players with both polluted and Konrad. for a 6 cost creature that’s amazing.
