I've seen absurd things happen in the late game with two fear of isolations and any of the good eerie triggers, just bouncing one after another and getting gremlins, counters, cards...

Me too! UG generally wins by out carding the opponent, the 2/2s keep you alive, or you can sometimes outtempo them with the right draws

Lords of Limited put a focus on having a solid group of big finishers that can be flipped, win some combats and finish the game; don't play bad creatures but the Beast, the green Landcycler and Altanak are good ones

I played Glimmerlight in my Rakdos list and it was great. A sac body and +1/+1 on my menacers where pretty solid.

Last draft I had 3 Fear of Being Hunted. One game I ate their 1/1 unblockable rare, then Most Valuable Slayer to eat their 3 drop. They played 2 good cards and conceded turn 4 haha.

Fear of being hunted is so good just because of the existence of MVS

Fear of being hunted + glimmerlight or combat tricks is delicious. There's so many 2 drops so if you can make him 4/2 with +1/+1 it can easily eat something with 2 power.

Did my first in person draft yesterday. I didn't really look into the set as much aside from playing pre-release, but knew about the blue-green manifest deck. Picked cursed windbreaker over a mythic red room and then another one came back in that first pack as a 5th or 6th pick. Getting passed a threats around every corner not long after made that open lane pretty clear

Black has quite a few eerie cards but not as many rooms as the other colors. I think that holds BW & UB back a little (as well as the misleading reanimator signposts)

Is anyone else finding it difficult to manage manifest dread seeing two lands. I can be stuck on say three lands then draw a manifrest dread and boy does it manifest dread because I I begin to wonder do I even cast this card that can deny me the lands I need? It hurts so bad to decide to cast it and then see two lands just vanish from my odds.

Best to think of them as cards you never would have gotten since manifest dread was probably better than doing nothing and drawing 0.4 lands next turn.

Do you think it’s worth running the UW room that destroys creatures power 3 and up as a one sided wrath in WR? Or will it be a dead card too much outweighing the upside? Asking for a friend that may or may not have grabbed it to try out

A trick with that one - if you have the W uncommon that +1+1s in play, you can use the trigger on casting the room to put the counter on an opponent’s 2 power creature so it dies

I think it’s a playable card there! Nothing amazing, but wouldn’t shy away from it.

This set has been particularly difficult for me as a limited player, I have done like 3 drafts and gotten no more than 1 win on each of them, when in the past I can easily hit at least 3, even getting trophies in like 1/5 drafts. But I don't know what I am doing wrong. Are there any easy resources to comprehend what I need to work on, besides just "use 17lands dummy!"?

This may fall under the umbrella of “use 17lands dummy”, but if you have a 17lands account, you can go back over your draft and game logs. Alex often recommends that as a first step - either going over them yourself or with a friend, trying to identify mistakes or things you could have done better. Watching videos of good players helps too - you can pause the video, try to figure out what you’d do in their situation, and then see what they do.

@@sporophyte9052 Yea I just figured out how to install it like 30 minutes ago... in response to my statement about not wanting to just be told about it. I went over one of the games and it is far easier to see what I did wrong than I supposed, which I should have realized from my previous attempts at playing other games competitively. I have been having the opposite experience (trophied 4 out of 6 drafts) and, honestly, I don't really know why either. One thing that i've noticed though, is that in most drafts I commit to the arquetype rather late, generally locking down around the beggining of the second pack. Also been packing a lot of removal compared to former draft formats.

I p1p1 valgavoth and built around it, went 1-3 And i believe i had a pretty decent deck tbh I casted it 4 times and 3 out of 4 times they killed it
