I am jealous of all the new Rockler dust collection items being installed at one time. Great job on the video! One suggestion is that you add the chip separator that Rockler sells. This separates most of your chips and dust into a garbage can before it even gets to your filter. I recently got one for my system and it’s an inexpensive way to not have to always be dumping your plastic bag.

Does this setup actually work? That's a lot of flex hose.

Great setup and I really like the Rockler gear, but so expensive. I saved a pile of money going with a Grizzly (G0944 1250 CFM w/1-micron canister). I saved enough to pay for all the hard piping (6" & 4" SDR 35 main runs and flex hose finals to the tools), fittings, blast gates and an Oneida Super Dust Deputy XL... still came in under the Rockler collector w/canister cost alone without any extras (nearly $1200 right now with shipping adding another $100 on top of that)... and about the same cost of you can get the Rockler on-sale ($1100). I hope it holds up as well as the Dust Right.

You're lucky when I bought the Rockler 4 inch Dust Right Hose it did not fit on any Rockler connector. A big waste of money. Sorry to be a downer. Nice job, by the way

where the T splits off to the three way, if the three way is on, is it sucking air from all three tools at once? or are there other blast gates somewhere else. seems like it might lose a lot of suction otherwise??

We installed and half the time when you start it it trips a circuit internally and stops … if I keep starting and stopping real fast I can eventually get it to work… wondering if it’s a faulty starter capacitor??

Awesome video and cool set up...any chance you have an illustrated diagram? Also, wondering how high you can mount the system, I am assuming you have 8' ceilings...any problem getting suction through the ceiling hose? Thanks in advance.

Ahhhhhh those flexible hoses kill suction power as a fellow wood worker i set up system with a 5m spiral pipe 100mm ( 4inch) and had almost no suction loss 32m per second down to 28 i then out of curiosity done the same with some flexible i had lying around and was shocked to see it slow to 17m per second. I also ran tests on my 100mm(4inch) syclone separator and found that was even worse so got rid

I can’t run a vacuum while running a tool. What would I need to do that?
@notylr
@notylr 3 жыл бұрын
if you're tripping a breaker by running both, try connecting the tool and the vacuum to different outlets which you know are on different breakers. If that's not possible, you should hire a professional electrician to come and either upgrade the breaker amperage or run a new breaker. I hope this helps even though it's a little late!

These small dust collectors rarely have enough power for a single tool and if you hook them up to a network or flexible tubing they lose a tone more power. You will notice most of the camera angles were set so you couldn't see how much dust was not being pickle up. Rockler mostly sells cheap chinese junk.

There is a smaller wall mounted version that tickler produces but I went with the larger one since I wanted enough suction. I also installed those gate stops in order to increase the suction where I need it. This is plenty of suction for my shop and this thing is well made for sure. Thanks for watching.
