Would love it if these videos were better chapterized. I'm 5 minutes in and I just got my first initial hear of the first patch of the instrument clearly, and I still don't have a good concept for what the thing is...I get that this is a stream-of-consciousness walkthrough but it's not doing a great job of getting to the point. :) Many people won't have the patience to sit through 20 minutes of this. Bonus tip: if you want to sell the product, put the URL to the product in the description and make it clickable (i.e. https before it).

The joke was quickly worn out and made me feel extremely uncomfortable listening to it. It felt like breathlessness... The Dust Engine definitely sounds nicely raw and gritty. Unfortunately i had to skip after 7,5 minutes.

I grabbed this when I got the email. £5 for a bit of Sound Dust based on trust? Hell yeah! I really like this but one thing stands out for me. The barebones nature, having one patch and no manual. This has pushed me into tinkering like I've never tinkered before and honestly, it's opened up a whole load more sound that I wouldn't have got from a bunch of presets. Please don't stop adding presets to any of your instruments of course but from now on, I'm gonna start with the initial patch and tinker for a couple of hours.

A cool sounding instrument that I will look forward to playing with one day... but I am currently unable. What I learned from this TRUST experiment is that I should not participate in anything involving trust unless the exact system requirements are specified... I can only run Kontakt 6.5.1 on my operating system, so I took the plunge and discovered that I need a later version of Kontakt 6 to open it. My recommendation to you would be that next time you try something like this you should clearly state the exact version of Kontakt that is required. I took a chance---in the name of trust---but ended up annoyed again with Native instruments. But I'll be able to explore the Dust Engine one day.

I love the sound of this but I really must say, your whispering is disturbing. Please don't do walkthroughs with a whisper. In order to hear and preview the instrument I have ti sit through it but it is extremely emotionally disturbing to experience.

Big thumbs down on the ASMR. I have severe tinnitus and high frequency whispering is actually painful for me. Luckily for you, I’d already bought Dust Engine #1. 😉

I tingled. And enjoyed the presentation style. When the arp demo started I was reminded of Kraftwerk's Ralf und Florian album from 1973. No bad thing. And shows this can do "clean" as well as "organic". Happy to be on the mailing list and had forgotten I hadn't yet picked this up at the intro price, so will rectify that now I've seen the vid. Next time, I will no doubt trust you and remember to buy the bladdy thing there and then. More power to Pendle.

I will buy anything you release on Trust Pricing. I'm mixed on the ASMR demo. Your mic has has picked up all your computer keyboard, mouse, and midi controller strokes, which is a real pet peeve of mine. Keep rocking!

cool instrument, when i got it i was kind of expecting a big crazy set of sounds at the insane and impossible low price of 7$ or whatever it was, but it was more like a few great patches with the sound dust normal extras, at the very reasonable price of whatever it was. Nothing at all wrong with that, just the expectation could have been managed better, if it was "hey this is a great price" as opposed to "the impossible insanely low price is..." which is the vibe i got. 😀. But please never do the whisper voice again. Just a nice calm read with a balanced eq will be good, so i don't have to skip ahead every three seconds, when i watch the video, Lol.

​@@SOUNDDUST ha, well i was about as pleased with the instrument as i was displeased with the whisper, which makes the advice "don't quit your dayjob" possibly relevant, Lol. Then again maybe ASMR has a genre for "things you don't want to hear", there ARE all kinds of people out there, ha.
