Duster vs Suzuki Jimny Forest Offroad

Extreme offroad climb on a forest trail with my Dacia Duster 4x4 115 HP and a Suzuki Jimny. Big rocks and mud made the duster's 4WD system fail a couple of times from overheating.

Nice video. The Jimny actually could have climbed in one attempt, but he tried climbing in 4H mode and failed. Then he tried it in 4L mode and was able to climb easily.

Avantajul duster e greutatea mica, dar mare dezavantaj e lipsa reductorului, de asta trebuie sa o turezi ptr a avea putere, dar se vede ca nu e o solutie buna, pierzi mai repede aderenta se incalzeste cutia, diferentiale, chiar motorul (mergand in peste 2500-3000 ture dar cu viteza mica, deci racire slaba), plus stres in toate articulatiile ptr ca trebuie sa iei toti bolovanii cu ceva viteza(momentum). O masina cu reductor poate merge mult mai usor in panta ptr ca cuplul motor e multimplicat(deci mai mare)

Ai dreptate, la porțiuni de drum unde ar trebui o viteza mai scăzută , Dusterul este un pic in dezavantaj pt ca nu are reductor.

How did you notice the hot differential ?

Did you try using the 4wd lock mode? It could help with the overheating multiplate clutch because it should't slip so much.

in 4wd lock mode with ESC off I get the overheating message fast.

Teoretic, Dusterul, urca de prima data, doar ca nu cu o trasa sa suspende rotile pe diagonala. Felicitari pentru ceea ce faceti! Dusterul e o masina foarte capabila, iar oameni sa il exploreze la potential, sunt putini! Felcitari!

Mulțumesc . Cam greu sa fi trecut din prima, deoarece după prima încercare am umplut șleaul din stânga cu pietre. Fără acele pietre nu ar fi avut șansa.😁
