You can always buy snow chains for a few bucks. That what I did in my 2x4 Duster and I was absolutely blown away by the capabilities in deep snow. It require a bit of labor but you will be unstoppable in deep snow

İn really deep snow sometimes 4wd+chain are not enough. Have fun with your 2wd duster, offroad is not the thing that your car capable

with these tires and the way things are designed on the rear axle, there is not enough space for snow chains on the rear tires. I would damage the shock absorber and the cables from the abs and the brakes. I got a new set of alloy rims and I am getting ready for the next snow with winter dedicated tires.

I tried fitting my chains to rear wheels on my fwd impossible and ended up tangled with back suspension,Nearly had to cut them away! ​@@DusterCoolTravels

Only problem is that if chains are of poor quality and they break it's like being in a liferaft that deflated. You are well and truly stuck. However I was amazed when I tried some out on the front wheel drive Citroen Berlingo car/van I used to own.

I lived and worked in rural Africa and Asia from 1969 to 2017. The number of times I needed 4 wheel drive could be counted on the fingers of 1 hand. The idea that massive engines and horse power is needed is rubbish. The little Renault 4 and later the R 5 would go anywhere a LR would.

Very impressive mainly with the AT tyres. Imagine if it had good Winter tyres, it would go up those slopes without a problem on the snow.

On 4x4 version you don’t have automatic transmission. Only the hybrid version which is 4x2. It s good for the ease of use

we just ordered the new Duster 4x2 (Extreme) Hybrid in the same colour, actually. we've had Renault Captur for 3 generations, it was an incredibly good car (well, the last one still is, we're still awaiting delivery of our new Duster). the reason we bought that Captur in the first place was that we live in the city, but we wanted something that can go and drive on country roads (not in the deep snow or mud). so far the Captur has been capable of that with ease, even though it's not a designated off-road car. yeah, this kind of roads is (probably) not what our new Duster will be able to traverse, but if our Captur is capable of driving on roads whe used to drive it on the new Duster should not have any issues, as it sits higher and has larger wheels. the Hybrid was a clear choice for us, again, we live in a city (Glasgow, UK) and the last Captur we still have is a Hybrid as well. but yeah, if you want a designated off-road car you should go for the 4x4 version.

Hi pal , I stay on Skye and got rid of a Disco 4 and bought 16 reg Duster 4x4 and put a set of BFGoodrich a/t on it it . The car is amazing in mud and snow , unstoppable! Also a lot easier on the pocket 😎

@@alexrobinson2281 i will (probably) put some good off-road tyres on mine, when it arrives and will try to see how much off-road capability it actually has. everyone seems to be unconvinced by the 4x2 version, but i have been in some seriously tough situations last winter with my Captur (off-road) and it passed with flying colours. and Captur is 4x2 and not an off-roader by any means. yes, the 4x4 version is 100% going to be better for mud and snow, but i want to see how much can the 4x2 version go off-road.

It loses grip just because it doesn't have enough torque, and it breaks grip just because it uses rotation to climb... a bigger diesel engine would have solved the problem.

Duster Gen3 or 2024/2025 are still not available in any countries except Europe. The Demand is High but Production is very low and slow. This is very bad to the Company itself, they are very bad in Sales. Other brands already started selling 2025 models since September. The customers in immediate need will not wait and moves to Other brands unwillingly.😒

@@gabidijma5655 exact, mai greu e cu pornirea de pe loc, turatie mai mare, cand lasi ambreiajul pierde aderenta mai usor. la fel si in mers, trebuie tinuta din turatii, sunt curios cum o sa fie cu anvelope de iarna dedicate.
