This was such a weird fight for Mcgregor for a guy who’s usually amazing in his trash talking, it really fell flat in the lead up to the fight, it honestly felt like Conor was trying to convince himself the whole time
@SkeetWeezy2 жыл бұрын
It was too forced. When Conor cracks jokes in a tone where he sounds confident and secure, it’s 100x better. When he’s screaming like a drunk it’s cringeworthy af.

People watching this video might be full on Conor haters who won’t agree with me, but I felt like the trash talk was on point in his one-on-one interviews but in the press conference it was completely trash. Worst press conference Conor has ever done. Still loved his individual interviews though, it felt more like Alvarez-era Conor.

@Shamshiri More like he hasn't improved since he got the FW belt. He should go and train with Khamzat and Till, he can improve on his stamina and wrestling because those are major weaknesses in his game. He'll become a force again if he does.
@beastt-_2 жыл бұрын
@@ivaard idk, might be an unpopular opinion but he did good in the last fight, at least in the beginning, but his head movement didnt seem to be there at all, and the tide of the fight changed quickly after dustin landed that one counter, eventually leading to the guillotine attempt - which was pretty bad. he was doing good on the ground as well (if u count out the glove-grabbing) with the elbows from the bottom. eventually his leg gave up, which apparently had micro-fractures from the training camp and he just decided to not pull out and go with the fight, thinking it'd be easy but the second fight had told us otherwise. terrible decision, should have waited it out. immediate rematches rarely work out anyway.

The fact that people say this was a close round despite the fact that Dustin rocked Conor, made him clinch, took him down, smeshed him on the ground(before the break) and would've probably done that for the rest of the round if not for Conor's cheating and Herb Dean turning a blind eye to it. Conor naturally fades as the fight goes on and he was only being set up to get Knocked out with strikes in the second or the third round if not for the leg break.

I think more that he knew Dustin was a danger on the feet and could knock him out. Conor up to that point had prided himself on his striking and the fact nobody had ever knocked him out in MMA. Every time he lost, it had been by submission and Conor for whatever reason saw that as a moral victory to hang onto as if they didn't really beat him. But for someone whom he had KO'd before, to comeback and KO him must have REALLY hurt his ego. I don't think that sat well with Conor at all, it made him angry and bitter that someone in MMA (not Boxing) had beaten him at his own game. Likely to convince himself that he was better, he talked a lot of forced trash talk, doing everything seemingly possible to make himself feel better and to try to throw Dustin off. As we all know, it didn't work.

I think you should make more of these. Not trying to pressure you or anything but I honestly think you're one of the most important MMA channels out there. You structure your videos pretty well that it could pretty much be considered a film. There are other MMA channels that made highlights and used footage of Eddi Alvarez vs Conor McGregor but your video about that fight is probably the best one to start with if you haven't seen that fight. You pick the absolute best moments in fights and in interviews that we're basically taking a mini time machine to the past but only coming back to the best moments

@@elijahchickentenders Dustin was gonna take over as it went on while Conor is known to fade throughout a fight lmao he had it in the bag when he got conor back pedaling and working off his back while glove grabbing. even had him jumping a guillotine with his dear life right after saying "I only count KOs as wins" hahah

Just a reminder that Conor hasn't won a truly challenging fight since 2016. If he gets a title shot he will get choked out so easy.
