@@12nicoll yea, it’s a trade off. When your flat footed you punch harder, but get punched more. When your bouncing in and out you throw softer blows, but get hit less. I think this is why Connor would appear to just pick apart his opponents. he would get close, throw his punches, then get away.

They’ll watch him to see him win or lose. Either way they’re watching. If everyone was super reserved and respectful of each other and it’s all hugs after the fight people find it less interesting. Justin has improved, and evolved his skill set, and fight management drastically more so than even Dustin has over this time. My reasoned, and objective opinion is that the LW division at this time has Dustin, Justin, and Charles as the truly relevant top seeds. Lot of people just don't realize how difficult it is to cut weight like that.... At 6'0, 220lbs, I couldn't imagine even having to get back down to 175lbs in anything less than 6 months... There's only so much water weight you can cut before you start eating away at your muscle. Dropping 45lbs on short notice is INSANE, and that just goes to show Poirier's level of commitment to the game. Ugh... painful just thinking about it.
