This two boys have took drasticly different path. Conor didn’t trained as he should have during the past 4 years and Dustin trained like a robot. I wonder how Conor was even able to threat Dustin in the rematch. This guy is a war machine. You have to bring a fighter as trained as him and with a specific style like Khabib to beat him because Dustin is not the best anywhere (striking, wrestling, JJB...) but he his damn good everywhere.

Hey Mr.Daru! Do you seek useful feedback as a Strength and Conditioning expert from the Striking Coach staff that you co-coach a fighter with? Would that improve or hinder your programming for a fight camp? Also, How do these professional relationships all set boundaries and still cooperate to achieve the various specialized goals to meet all the fighter's needed area's of prep without accidentally scheduling in a way that interferes with respective peak performance target dates?

@PhilDaruStrong

He is what we call posterior compressed but that’s not the reasoning behind the hip issue it was actually due to trauma as a younger fighter and he’s just been fighting through it his entire career

@@PhilDaruStrong Awesome video coach, i've never seen training this comprehensive before. Regarding your answer above on Dustin's hip, do you see many athletes too tough for their own good sometimes? Where they 'fought through' something they should have dealt with sooner that becomes a serious issue? Or are athletes getting wiser these days?

Powerlifting could help with grappling and power striking. I find that alot of you trainers really don't understand that. Training for MMA and doing weightlifting would make you not only stronger but won't make you stiff. Staying in the 1-5 reps weightlifting wise, cardio, pads, and sparring is all u need. These work outs u do seem useless against someone like khabib.
@Dragondude30
@Dragondude30 2 жыл бұрын
@Whotube These workouts wont do shit in grappling and muay thai. You already get all the cardio and increase in skills through training muay thai/grappling. For strength and conditioning. he needs to focus on 1-5 reps like i said. Imagine if Dustin could squat 500 lbs for a couple reps, bench pressed 350 and deadlifted 550-600. He would stuff khabibs take downs easily. And yes its possible to keep strength, cardio and fluid movements. Old school Trainers keep living in the past with the "Oh StReNgTH tRaInInG mAkE YoU SloWwWwww". no just no. Instead they do these pathetic unecessary workouts.
