Dustin Poirier Training For UFC 257

Conor McGregor will face a much tougher test than he did in his lightning 2014 win over Dustin Poirier when the pair meet again at UFC 257, former contender Chael Sonnen has insisted.
Ex-featherweight and lightweight king McGregor will return to the octagon for the first time in more than a year when he faces previous victim Poirier on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi on January 23.
Despite McGregor knocking Poirier out in under two minutes when they clashed at UFC 178, Sonnen says 'The Diamond' could avenge that dismal defeat this time.

I dunno if Connor is working on his grappling and jiujitsu, but if dustin goes with Khabib's strategy (not implying that Dustin, as everyone else, is capable of doing what Khabib did) he could surprise Connor. But , ignoring strategies, I hope to see a fight similar to the Mcdonald vs Lawler one. The problem is that I dont think Conor will risk the face, he wants control

I will say this tho for Dustin. He’s obviously vastly improved since first match and in his sparring he’s Circling right very well unlike Eddie Alvarez did vs conor. If he can control the exchanges, get in and out while circling away from Conor’s left..it could be close and go to decision but I just see conor adapting and eventually touching that “sweet soft spot on the temple”. Lol
