How to make hoses for Noerl Hydraulic steering systems

Just a added little tip on hoses like these , put a mark at the base of your collar on the hose so you know for sure that it didn't push the hose out of the collar while assembling

The collar is actually threaded backwards. You can turn it to get the hose inserted.

Aren't they a reverse thread to get the fitting on the hose?

Thank you for this video!!! Vevor's instructions were lacking just a bit!! So, question - I have the same brand system, and I'm installing on my first boat - can you tell me if I need to put anything on the lil stubs that are used to bleed the system? I'm confused - when those stubs are tight, do they prevent oil from coming out, and when they're loosened slightly they let oil flow?

No need to cap them. If they tight they fine. The brakes on your vehicle operate the same way

Hi.... great video! A question please..... I purchased a 150HP kit, and there was no information in the box on sourcing spare seals for rebuilds or leak repairs. Have you found a source, or do the Bay Star / Sea Star seals fit? Thanks!!

Just installed a noerl steering kit on my boat. Hasnt left the shop yet. Leaks where the hydraulic lines connect to the orb fittings on the helm. Just spend the extra $200 and purchase a baystar kit.

I've installed 3 with no issues. Probably just failed to tape them and tighten properly.

I've installed 5 of them without issue. At less than 1/2 cost of SeaStar yes I definitely recommend them.

I've installed 3 of them no issues. Get a buddy to help bleed the lines. It will take 1.5 qts for 20' of line.

Not sure... 4 maybe 🤔. I got a steering wheel witha speed knob so I don't pay much attention.

@@breakingbass4322 there should be zero air in your line and pump. If there is it will definitely make your turning softer. You should not be able to turn the wheel 1/4 turn without the motor moving. Hope this helps

@@breakingbass4322 Is yours still 6-7 turns lock to lock? I just installed the same system on my boat and it takes 7 turns which seems like a lot!

@@justinmcginnis3315 It is still 6-7 lock to lock! I am not that worried about it now since I ran a boat with a seastar kit a few weekends ago and it also had about 6 turns lock to lock.
