55:02 - I found my drone will land exactly on the home point (to within a couple inches) if I take off, then immediately go up to 27 ft. At that point it memorizes the ground with the bottom visual sensors and will land in the right spot. I learned this trick from Pilot Institute's free course.

I think the return to home landed where it was once it took off. If you recall, it moved due to wind. You probably need to move back over the mat and set home point there when it blows away a little on take off.

I'm loving my MA2. Still use the Mini for tight areas and now I never use the Typhoon H, because the MA2 does it all better and with less noise and a smaller footprint. DJI have knocked it out of the park. Parallel mode is only useful in wide open spaces. I like to think of it as cliff mode. For those side-on epic sunset shots. Trace mode for the best obstacle avoidance. Great video. Thanks.

Great video. It looks like it was purposefully trying to avoid the mat because it thought it was an obstacle. The obstacle warning "aura" at the bottom was showing where the mat was.

Just got this yesterday and I have a mini also and had no prob syncing it with my dji app. I actually have 2 minis registered on this app. I didn't have to Uninstaller the app. Maybe its an issue dji recently fixed. Love ur videos. U do great revues. Keep them cqoming.

if you press the camera button on front face (to the right of the joystick) it will cycle the picture mode you have set in the app and the video mode you have set. and then you can use the button on right trigger to toggle record/take picture. I love this drone!

Hey, you dont have to use the phone to switch between camera and video. The camera icon on the top right of the controller will swap between video and picture for you. Just in case you havent seen that yet. Its the icon with the camera and the arrow swirl like the function key.

In Sport mode the APAS icon turns red as it disables the function as you can see on your screen it'll turn white again in Normal or Tripod mode as the function enables, fantastic video mate 👍

Great video Dustin . Apparently nd filters can alter how dji cameras detect a subject on active track . The deeper the nd filter , the more the active track struggles . Besides that , amazing drone !

Love your videos Dustin. If drone crashes land asap and check the props, the body and battery ... take props off look for cracks, dents, broken connections .... please don't continue flying. I love the hobby and wouldn't want anyone to get hurt or for you to lose your drone.

Dustin, If you do not use the smart functions and just fly, your return to hone will be spot on. I have flown around my neighborhood and flown range tests and 9 out of ten times it lands exactly where I launched. Use any smart function and I get within 5 feet of launching point. Just my experience.

That was the fastest hour of my life lol..you tell it how it is. You show absolutely everything even if it did hit a 🌲 lol. Your definitely the best at doing all the tests on these Drones, like you said, you would rather do it than us lol.. Excellent review..I was actually flying my Bugs 4w 4k today I flew it from where I live to my parents house but I had to do a return to home as Seagull's started to attack and dive bomb at it lol..it had me shaking with Adrenaline rush lol..but I have made a 15" SQ cardboard landing pad it about the size of my drone with arms folded out and I must admit evertime I return to home it gets within 2 feet if not closer every time I have took it out. Really happy with that. Good Job 👍😉 Can't wait to see your range test for sure 👍👊

The newer mavic air 2 has a few different things like the remote has a pause button and the battery does not have white dji letters. I got my mavic air 2 a few weeks ago. I notice the earlier version had just home button but the newer version has a pause button and home key on same button

The drawback for me is the codec .265. I'm all geared up with .264 and would need to spend $$ to get more Ram. Bummer. The ND filter doesn't change the color but slows down the f-stop a couple of clicks which makes the video more betta. I didn't like using the ND's at 1st but now I shoot everything with one or a UV filter. Comprehensive review. Also Did your gimbal dop down when you were filming and going forward. I keep comparing the Mavic Air 2 to the Mavic 2 Pro and it's definitely not there. As you know when booking forward the Mavic 2 Pro keeps the props out of the shots. You were impressed in your 2018 Original review...Good job Brah. Give 'em good.

Dustin, your correct when the Mavic slowly descends when moving forward, mine does a little also. Also if you double tap fn button the camera tilts down and double tap for it to tilts up...Do you notice the bottom and top obstacle sensor status indicator shows ..it also flies faster backwards with APAS turned on..
