I've only the flown the Neo once with the controller, and I no signal issues. I flew my usual test route at the beach that I put all my new drones through. The Neo has the 04 transmission system, so no surprise the signal is great. This was another great range test, you had me on the edge of my seat at one point. I'm glad you got it back home safely. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Dustin. Its insane how much the value of this drone provides with the right controller. Been waiting a week for my RC N3 here in NYC. I haven’t heard much about the goggles N3 being sold in the US? Anyways, QUESTION: If im controlling via mobile app and wifi only, will the drome automatically stop prior to losing my connection if i just keep the forward stick held down? I want to do ny own range test with mobile but scared itll disconnect and ill lose it.

Interference could do this but it will auto return to launch after a few seconds 🍻

You should find a few fixed landing spots you can drive to and recover your drones that are about 5 to 10 miles away to see how far they can actually fly

Did you increase the standard max speed settings in N and S before doing this test? If not I'd guess it could have gone in S even further. A range test with Goggles in true M mode would be interesting. If you change cam angle to 40 - 45° one KZbinr got little Neo to fly at afair 45 - 50 km/h !!

DJI must have changed the max out limit using just the phone , before it would keep going out till lost connection and it just stayed out there hovering as there is no RTH when using the phone so you were pretty much screwed lol

Crazy I flew my neo on sport and one it reached 1000 feet the speed dropped to 7mph and I was only 3 feet of the ground

It could be that the drone gets further in sport mode because, unlike a car, a drone uses energy just to hover or stand, i.e. when the speed is zero. So you would have to minimize the hovering time and optimize air resistance at the same time.
