"Canon", huh. People claiming that AU have canonical traits is funny. AUs are made to fulfill someone's wishes, to change already existing things in the new way. Having Sans slaughtered the monsterhood is not canon in any way, so any details that are applied to that fact are non-canonical too. AUs can't be canonical by definition. There might be only popular interpretations (aka "takes") and beliefs.
