This part of the museum doesn't really have anything to do with Billy the Kid but it was fascinating to me to see artifacts used by individuals and businesses during the late 1800s - mid-1900s on the Southwestern Great Plains of North America. Do you see any items you would like to examine more closely in person? What do you like or dislike about the museum overall?

Yeah that’s what I’m wondering. Did you get to see his hair? If so was it light, or dark?

I know the feeling of having to wait. This place has been on my bucket list since the early '60s and I finally had the time to explore due to a WRCA rodeo in the area. I love to visit small museums and share them when possible.

love seeing old stuff, the item called a belt sander was a drive belt to connect the trip hammer to a line shaft in the blacksmith shop. Cool stuff. Thanks for the tour

When you ask the average person who is the greatest American folk hero .99% of the time they're going to say Billy the kid. Because he represents the American Spirit. A person who was cast aside by society and forgotten .Who Rose to be the unheralded greatest legend of the American West .🤠

Amazing how americans can create a museum of a man whom had amost no pictures taken live or dead, I really apareciate the love that american people have for their history, the fact that this museum apparently has no relation to The Kid makes the whole colection, objects and souvenirs more interesting. Good videos!

I love covering these aspects of Americana and sharing their stories.

Bit confused with name of the museum as bit misleading the name.. like ordering a cheese burger but getting no cheese

Well, be sure to see Part 1 of the whole museum tour for artifacts more directly related to Billy The Kid. I personally enjoyed the rest of the museum to see items that have been collected from the region since his time as noted in my original comment.

Brushy Bill Roberts claimed that when he escaped McSween's burning house ( which he described the inside with astounding accuracy ) he ran out the gate towards Tunstill's store...then ran towards the river north of McSweens house. As he crossed the river ( with a wound to his shin ), he lost his hat and one revolver.........Someone should search that part of the creek for an old revolver as it most likely would still be in the river if Brushy Bill was telling the truth.
