I also have a skoda octavia 4x4 and i tyy haldex in every condition. Best 4x4 for low money. Haldex works ok. Nice video

LSD only affects the rear axle doesn't it (0:11)? Which is why it worked when the only wheel with traction was at the rear, but failed when the only wheel with traction was at the front. (That's my guess anyway.)

For sure not. Newer models use haldex gen 4 which is much better than gen 2.

@@The_Touring_Jedi I have a 2008 Scout and it's off road performance is excellent. Never had it stuck yet. I recently pulled two cars, a Jaguar X type and a Vauxhall Corsa stuck in mud as they both came off the road on the same evening last winter without any issues. For off road, the earlier Haldex genation every time.

Czas chyba wymienić oleje w Saabie :D o ile już nie za późno… Skrzynka rozdzielcza z przodu, wrażliwy Haldex z tyłu i równie specyficzne eLSD gdzie nie leje się pierwszego lepszego oleju do dyfrów. Z tego co kojarzę Saab dzielił rozwiązania z Oplem w tym przypadku z Insignią, która przecież radzi sobie bez najmniejszego problemu. Napęd w saabie później już wcale nie kontaktował.. tył całkiem już nie chodził, a załączanie eLSD było słyszalne jakby się rozpadało. Jak w Haldexsie jest minimalnie za mało oleju to system przerywa raz działa raz nie, już pomijam fakt, że jak olej nie był wymieniany to na 100% będzie w środku dosłownie błoto. Oryginalny olej i filtr z uszczelką do Haldexa kosztuje swoje, a zamienniki olejów prawie zawsze powodują problemy. Do Haldexa tylko oryginał BorgWarner. Sterownik będzie szalał, ale nie przez software, a przez jakiś problem techniczny. Trzeba sprawdzić napięcie na pompie Haldexa. Sprawdzić temperaturę oleju, i wtedy stan oleju. Idealnym sposobem na porównywanie byłoby testować nowe samochody co jest niestety niemożliwe Pozdrawiam

Jeśli będzie okazja - sprawdzimy inny egzemplarz. Insignia sobie radziła, ale od razu było widać, że cały układ jest inaczej sterowany niż w Saabie.

Bardzo chętnie bym wjechał moją Insignią Country Tourer 2.0 BiTurbo w automacie bo coś mi się wydaje, że w tej Insigni A przedlift co była testowana to te eLSD nie wyglądało jakby je miała bo przód zjechał lepiej niż tył co jest bez sensu. W Saabie było widać ładnie jak eLSD się załączało (póki coś tam działało). Ale co do napędu w Saabie ewidentnie było widać na samym początku jak Saab przyspieszał to przednie koła szły i po długim czasie zaskoczył tył, co wiem z doświadczenia, że podczas przyspieszania chociaż w małym procencie moment obrotowy przekazywany jest na tył, w Haldexsie od 4 generacji tył i przód powinien startować jednocześnie bo z tego co czytałem od 4 generacji napęd jest rozłączany np. pod autostrady, a nie dołączany jak w poprzednich generacjach dopiero po uślizgu kół. W Saabie moim zdaniem coś ewidentnie nie grało, później jakby się system przegrzał lub całkiem błąd wywaliło (po OBD powinno pokazać) jak wywali błąd w Insigni gdy ktoś wleje za mało oleju bo nie sprawdzał temperatury i napięcia na pompie to wywali błąd na wyswietlaczu i będzie tylko napęd na przód, ale nie dzieje się tak od razu, software chyba wykonuje 5 prób załączenia Haldexa i wtedy wywala błąd, zgaszenie i zapalanie samochodu ponownie i to samo. Wiem, że jesteś spod południowo-wschodniej strony Polski, ja przyjeżdżam do Pomorskiego akurat niedługo na urlop, a tak to na stałe w DE szkoda, że nikogo nie znam kto ma rolki tak bym ograł moją Insignie i podesłał Ci materiał

@@viposek427 Podczas testu Insigni tak samo wywalało błędy, jak podczas testu Saaba, trzeba było przejechać kilkadziesiąt metrów, żeby błąd się skasował. Takie błędy zdarzają się podczas testów, ale są to błędy ABS/ESP, nie haldexa czy innego sprzęgła. Testowana Insignia miała eLSD, ale wystarczająco mocno blokowało się dopiero po całkowitym wyłączeniu ESP i kontroli trakcji. Przy włączonym systemach działało jak LSD, nie jak blokada. Będziemy w DE w poniedziałek i wtorek.

Looked to me like it relies heavily on its rear Limited Slip Diff, doesn't have very refined intelligence in using the brakes on spinning wheels, so it struggles on the front with just an open differential. I'm no expert, just the impression i got watching it.

W Octavii przy ESP on, gaz w podłogę a obroty trzymał max 1500. Przy wyłączonym już przy 1800 zeskoczył z rolek

@@4x4.tests.on.rollers Question is how the software cant handle the 1 thing its specifically made for. Detecting difference in wheel speed. And if so, then engage LSD. How hard can it be. Thats why I wonder if something physical is worn. Its sounded like an old harsh diff lock and not an LSD.

@@martinsvensson6884 I don't know if it actually was designed that way. As far as I am concerned - the main goal of that lsd is operating during cornering etc., limiting operation but not locking. According to the owner of Saab - there were no problems with awd system. The sound is like auto-locker - no smooth operation but sudden lock-up. Maybe some day we'll do the test again with MaxEcu plugged in so we will see live what both clutch-packs are doing.

Everything on how Saab XWD Haldex works from this publication from Chalmers University of Technology: research.chalmers.se/publication/97667/file/97667_FULLTEXT.PDF Saab XWD was the most advanced not permanent 4x4 system when it was introduced with ELSD. It is clear that this car needs servicing.
