Love seeing athletes achieving national records. I am from Greece and I am so proud to see Emmanouil Karalis break the Greek NR in men's pole vault at 5.93m. Hopefully, Miltos Tentoglou can get it at the Paris Olympic Games, which he needs 8.67m or better. He is currently at 8.65m.

The track self isn't fast, but is above +1000 @seelevel (like most of the amercan tracks are above seelevel and in europe most tracks lying under seelevel. But most of the athletes came near there SB, or going a little faster. A couple of them broke there PB/NR/ER

Lot of interesting times being ran in these euro meets. Altitude is not changing times as drastic as we are seeing. Seeing 10.2 guys running sub 10 for the first time is not altitude at play

Exactly what is it about her shoulders that has you compare her to a kickboxer, of all things?
@SkyTurnsPurplePhotography
@SkyTurnsPurplePhotography 29 күн бұрын
@siriusfeline Women who box at the professional level get those rounded shoulders and deep back striations. Female sprinters have strong shoulders, but not usually that round. It takes a lot of shoulder work to get delts that full. Her shoulders are incredible.

Its called steroids. Only drugs can make trapezius muscles pop up like that,as well as capped,round shoulders. Theyre doping like crazy.

Next year the event organizers announced they are planning to move the TV cameras from the parking lot and into the stadium. One official wildly speculated that they might even do a close up of runners at start mark and at the same time thinking outside the box, they might put a camera in perpendicular to the finish line

No.....I don't even think she trains with them at that event. The 4x400 will most likely be Klaver, Saalberg, Peeters, Bol, De Witte, Van der Schoot and Van de Wiel with the last as reserve.

@SkyTurnsPurplePhotography
@SkyTurnsPurplePhotography Ай бұрын
I think it is simply a function of good conditions and this event's timing. All these top athletes stepped their training to peak in Paris. They're all right near or at peak form. This is just a preview of how good the Olympics will be this year. We will see lots of PB's & national records. A few hours ago, there was a different event (Lignano), and some decent times came out of there as well. These are minor tune-up events. Gb's 400m athletes look good ahead of the games for their women's relay, Dutch as well. Of the 3 track meets this weekend so far, I haven't seen anything concerning.

If you've lived or traveled in Europe, you'd know that there's zero possibility of that sort of error. In the USA, mistakes are sometimes made, especially with conversions from Imperial measurements to metric, but that's not a European issue.

... All of a sudden? ??? how is that? Either you have No f0cking idea of Athletics, not much brains or an evil way of thinking, while showing a lot of insecurity and needing a lot of attention... But, I have checked your page, and my guess is that is a bit of all that... All these athletes that have run such remarcable, or even splendid races with Personal Best and even European o Meeting records have a solid career behind and had already excellent times and some have won international medals in either European or World Champs, or in the Olympics... The explanation is easy: they are very good athletes; they are in peak form getting ready for the Paris Olympics (Olympic Games start in 10 days, and the Athletics competition in 2 weeks); fast track and high altitude of the track (about 1000m high)... All that facilitate the very good times produced...
