Hi Brit, any chance you could do a video relating to selection chances for couples vs singles and the changer in probabilities of applying over multiple years vs. Single year? It would be a fascinating video. I know there is some data out there on a Google search (probability tables) but i haven't seen a proper video collating historical to mathematical data on the basis of entry configurations. I think only you would make it understandable to the masses on a subject like this,.. 🥂 Cheers

This is rather like a coin toss. As you toss a coin, the result is heads or tails. But the second time you toss the coin, the chances of heads or tails are identical to the first time. The coin has no "memory" of the selections. Same with the lottery. So the chances for a single entry within a region are the same...

I dont like that they stopped the passport rule last year. Entries more than doubled and most of the people dont even plan on getting a passport let alone moving to the US if they win. So the passport rule was a good filter. I know for a fact a lot of people apply just for giggles every year and never intend on actually going if theyre selected or dont even have the money for a plane ticket let alone visa, doctors exam and expenses when they get there. If it was up to me I'd institute a small symbolic fee of 5-10$ to apply and you'd see the applicant number decrease at least 5 fold. Gotta weed out the unserious people somehow

In some countries the cost of applying for a passport is relatively high. So enforcing a financial cost simply to apply for a lottery is not a fair solution. As for $5-$10 to apply - well same thing. That could represent a couple of days income in some countries.

Also tell me how if someone that makes 5$ a week supposed to scrounge up at least 5k to move to the US? My solution maybe isnt the fairest but the application process needs to change

@BritSmion on all websites and some programs (notepad too), if you hold down the CTRL button (bottom left) and tap on the + key (as many times as needed), the page/text size will increase. (It essentially does what you're doing in your browser, but also works in notepad and other software too.) 👌

I have a question please, the department of state's said that the head size should be between 50 to 69 percent of the image's total height, but I have seen many winners photo which have head sizes ranging from 70 to 80 percent of this image's total height. But why is that possible that they violate the law and they got selected??

Either way is fine, although the simplest way is to use UK for her, Denmark for you. Your chances of selection are identical either way.

Hey Brit, I have a question; I took a picture from a Professional photographer at a Studio… Although I asked him not to make any digital alterations to my appearance he erased a few strands of my hair from the picture (I have messy hair 😬) He also had to insert a digital White Background using some photoshop tool because he did not have a physical/natural white background at the time of taking my picture. Would this be classed as Digital Manipulation of the picture & cause my entry to be disqualified? Thanks!
