Heat the outside of the control arms before taking bushings out or putting them in. Heat expands the metal, makes it easy for them to come out/go in.

If you live in the rust belt, you will need to push out the rubber center using the press and then remove the rest with an air hammer. I used a combination of a chisel and a center point bit to remove the sleeve. It was never to easily remove any bushing.
@vasilyfilatenkov40513 жыл бұрын
Nice job dude, way to go! You should replace that EXTREMELY heavy mustache bar while you have the diff and subframe off the car with a Buschur piece, well worth it!
@devinbarker37383 жыл бұрын
I smile and nod every time I see a bunch of the cars in the garage. So many sick builds
@dylanwatkins10193 жыл бұрын
I would check to see if some of those subframe bolts are stretch bolts cause you might need some replacements if so. Also check into using bed liner in the wheels wells it works great and looks really good.

Damn dude I’m glad you’re alright! Such a strong person preventing that press from falling on you! 🤙🏻

I've found it's sometimes cheaper to buy a full new arm with bushes and ball joints is cheaper than buying the bushes separately. Also we.have a air press at work and we use sockets too instead of proper bits 🤣

Keep it up man! I know you said you where getting the proper press tools but in the mean time try not to use the chrome sockets. They like to explode under high pressure sometimes.
@Ryenphosho3 жыл бұрын
Anyother time I would agree with this, but in this application they're basically just a support not much applied pressure. But in that, I'd still rather use the correct tools for the job.
